These hpi bajas are very fun and i just love mine. I have just bought a losi 5ive but i still love my baja, no favorite among these two.. they are both great trucks and i love them.

You wont regret getting into 5th scale, they are more robust and cool to drive and easy to work on.

Yes it is a slash 4x4 platinum.. my fiance's truck. Unfortunally i have run over it with my baja... i just saw it to late and couldnt brake in time... but to my suprise no damage to the slash 4x4, it is a little tuff truck that one ;)

There are many nice trucks out there, but if you get the money for a baja they are still so much fun and i wouldnt part with my 5sc ss for anything, even if i have the new losi wich is also a great truck.. but choosing a favorite between the two for me is impossible.

It is a real cool cage, good luck ! This cage was available in black or red what i remember. It should be easy to coat it orange, could be a real nice color.. do post a vid or a mess when it's done, love to see it.

These largescales are really fun to drive, but i still love my 1:8 scales and still have lots of fun with them to... much more easy to find great spots to drive then largescale, but when you find nice places for the largescales they are insanefun and sometimes scary to drive that fast ;)

@Jez51 My top speed is enough i guess.. havent had any chance to try the top speed, its really fast and just insane power. I have a fg with a real fast gasoline engine and another 1/4 4x4 mcd with a powerfull gasoline engine, but when i tried this baby i was chocked by the raw power of it and the gasoline monsters just sitt in the closet ;) i feel bad for them, i should take them out someday... but this brushless power is just to much fun ;) And it holds up great with no problems at all.

I like my gasrucks, but havent used them for a few years now:( I went from them to big brushless helis/electric crawlers, then i started with brushless trucks christmas 2010..bought my first brushless truck a savage flux hp, then after that a team associated sc8e and now this baja 5sc ss...

The rollcage was no problem at all to mount on this truck, and it holds up just fine great quality.I am starting to think about going back to using the 5sc body,cause it's now around over 15kg.

Very nice Automan, I think you've made a good decision converting to electric. I love nitro/ gas sound but it's a pain in the ass sometimes to tune and keep it tuned. Electric is just plug and go and since you've got Castle power, it's probably vicious as hell. How was the fit of that rc4wd cage? Did you have any problems with it? Thanks-Rod

I know it's not much to look at this video, but i thought i put it up anyways just so you can see the truck moving, could hardly use half throttle.. it sure is a beast this motor.

Im running the castle creations 1:5 scale complete conv kit (780kv motor), and it has got tons of torque, even with the added weight of the flm kit and rollcage it still is the same beast as when it was from the beginning (baja 5c ss), just insane power and runtime of over 20min 18/56 gear.
