I feel like I'm sitting in front of a pendulum clock! I think the tempo  tempo could ebb and wane a bit...I think it's called "phrasing" (!) Very pedantic...

Why didn't anyone tune the harpsichord?

Certainly agree with people talking about lacking feeling in from the soloist in this. Really lacks any kind of good phrasing. Emotionally dead :(

Lovely sound, lovely concert setting. In a recording that I have of this piece, the harpsichord is "there", but not as noticeable as it is here, which I like very much.

Does anyone know of any other pieces by any composer that have a relative feel to this piece? I can not find any similar sounding songs to this one.

@ParadisiacalUnknown Bach wrote a series of sonatas for harpsichord and violin, many of them have a similar feel to this. Try his B-minor sonata especiallyl There's an excellent recording of all the sonatas by Dmitry Sitkovetsky and Robert Hill, not sure if its on youtube but sure you could finds it on Amazon. Includes a much finer performance of this piece too. Hope this helps.

I found this rather bland. The playing was excellent but not very moving---and I don't think it has to be romanticized to achieve that.
