This is about selling cheeseburgers for a profit. This is about using an image of a woman to stand in for an object of desire...to sell cheeseburgers.

BK has made a lot of commercials which I think are hilarious. This one is hilarious in its way, but it is pretty out there also- I think I will definitely ask BK to forget about this confusing double-message ad, though. The idea that sex sells in the media does not to be reinforced, its already well known. This commercial is not about sexual exploitation AT ALL. You do not even see any of the womans butts because its covered by a huge foam square! The add is a joke, thats how little kids will see it, thats how most adults see it. Its too bad your just not seeing that fact as well.

Of course it does not HAVE to be reinforced, but it is, and that is precisely my point. It's sad to see sexual expoitation in commercials like this. And I am seeing the facts quite well. How could you say you don't see the women's butts?? Are you blind? Even if they are "covered up," the message is loud and clear. It's too bad you don't see that.

Not that I'm appauled that it's sexual in nature what pisses me off more is that the kids in this country are already obese. I think this commercial is completely inappropriate for something directed towards kids. I am not a parent, i am merely 16 years old but i would never let my kids watch this. It would be better for something adult related or even teen related. They could have used the beat of the song but change the lyrics and have maybe SPONGEBOB dancing not grown women.

This is about selling cheeseburgers for a profit. This is about using an image of a woman to stand in for an object of desire...to sell cheeseburgers.
It's funny, it's clever, it's well thought out, it's shrewd AND, if you take the time to consider that everything that gets made contributes to the culture, you have a clear right to say this is not the kind of crap I want openly imparted to, not just children, but to anyone.

Yeah, I get you, on one level it is just a funny commercial. I really do see the humor. I don't understand why it's such a big offense to look at the image a little deeper. For me, it's important to be critical and vocal about culture because it's more unhealthy to just swallow anything that's put out. I'd like to think that you can enjoy it AND see where it stands in relation to your values. As an artist I've devoted my life to considering images. Why shouldn't I consider this one too?

BK has made a lot of commercials which I think are hilarious. This one is hilarious in its way, but it is pretty out there also- I think I will definitely ask BK to forget about this confusing double-message ad, though. Our kids are sexualized so young already that I cannot see this kind of humor helping in the long run.

If authorities like Burger King and advertising executives tell me it bodes well for our economy to humorously inspire us to connect womens bodies with toys and cheap fatty meat then so be it. as for people that for some reason are against this commercial all i can say is that by nature this commercial is positive and funny, it was created with that purpose and you can tell people had fun making it, its message is a parady to incite humor. if anyone has a problem with it, without knowing them i can promise that the problem is something they have with themselves and they will see that same kind of problem anywhere they look.

Anyone remember the BK Kids Club from the 90's? They were a group of diverse cartoon characters, like there a was a black kid, a latino, a smart kid, an athlete, one in a wheelchair, and there was a dog too I think.
