  • this road is very mild needs harder turns and some blind hill turns those are always exciting and that civic is the reason you don't cut springs or put lowering springs on stock struts they make the rear very unstable and they skip on turns

  • I agree, the uphill is a turbo sport. Downhill for these cars would have been more exciting.

  • Uphill is safer in stock cars. The RX7 will be more stable with weight on the back and the EG is less likely to cook its stock brakes. Also for most novice drivers, they feel like they can push harder on the uphill due to a more stable feeling from the back end and thus can drive confidently and safely increase their abilities.

    While I agree a low hp car is much more fun on the downhill, old suspension + stock brakes can cause some serious safety issues.

  • Civic lost. Haha...Front wheel drive = understeer lots. Uphill is all about who can keep their RPM's higher coming out of the turns, giving more push on the straights.

    But remember: Share the road, dont hog it.

  • to riconator. that is an 83 rx-7, 10 years older than your miata and catching up to a 90's civic. in my opinion the rx-7 is better than your miata because it was an engineering marvel (the rotary engine), it was actually race worthy AND it won the le mans one year. a 93 rx-7 would definitely leave your car in the dust.   • sorry to say....that civic was still in ricer stage. the only mod i seen was multi-power spark plug cables. the rest was stock...1.5 V-tec E. that 7 has a 3.80 final gear ratio, and it gets more torque to the wheels...there for it was quicker at the corner exits.

  • these cars are underpowered for doing uphill. You guys should do downhill touges instead, because the lightweight chassis of your cars came come into play. Also, you dont need power that much when going downhill.
