  • Fake look at the crappy box and what about the eartips

  • @theweirdguyhaha Yes, it's fake. Read the title...

  • fake made in china

    real made in china

  • even it's fake, is the sound good as the real ones?

  • @beatstunes They are good sounding earphones for the price, since their real price is between 15 and 25 USD. But no, they don't sound like the real ones, and the real ones aren't a good choice at it's price range anyway.

  • Nice videao bro it really helped. I would love a pair of these but they are very expensive however there are a pair on ebay for £29.99 do you think these are fakes? Thanks :)

  • @239James239 I will not buy any Monster product through Ebay ever, neither an used on. There are TONS of counterfeits from Monster products, so you never know, even hands on if you can't compare side by side with genuines. Anyway, Monster Turbine is a overpriced product, you can buy better IEM paying less and no risk of buying counterfeits, like Brainwavz M2, Hippo VB, Fischer Audio Eterna and many, many others.

  • @239James239 go on amazon there like 90$=£65 more expensive but you know they aren't fake and there 100 off the reg price

  • how about the sound quality, may i know please.Thank you.

  • @AnonymousHong It's average for cheap earphones. Better than Ipod's. For something like 30USD it's in fact a good product.

  • You probably spent fraction of the RRP, it would be foolish to assume that they are genuine in the first place. The item you received is not worth $0, there is a great deal of work gone into them and usually well worth the price. Genuine Monster products have insane markups for a slightly better performance (sometimes).

Learn to use eBay properly before attempting to spot the billion dollar industry's flaws.

  • @l0Kindor0l Do you know what an auction is? Please use your brain.

  • @l0Kindor0l your a idiot many people who have bought monsters say they are GREAT for their price dont talk about something you know nothing about

  • @ThriftyCougar I'm comparing the fakes to the real ones mate. Your 'an' idiot.

  • i got a real pair for 25 bucks XD

  • @1ben1245 Used, stolen or not real?

  • @mefxes lol it was an open box item. they pretty nice :D Hard box and awesome quality. Need to burn them in though. Sounds like my bose ie2. Have pretty good noise isolation too :D

  • @1ben1245 If they are genuine, what I doubt, you're a lucky person!

  • @mefxes lol i know they r real, been an audiophile for a while now XD

  • @1ben1245 If you're an audiphile, why you bought crappy Monster earphones? They're not audiophile grade. Pro Gold and Pro Copper can be considered, but any other Monster earphones are crap sounding products, including the original Turbines. And extremely overpriced.

  • @mefxes Nahh, all monster products sucks. Just getting them cause they look cool and they sound good for in ears. I have the audio technica's m50 and the an open back headphone made by sennheiser. I think its the hd600. They sound good but they are not by any means noise canceling. Got them for at home use with my AT-HA25D Amp. Lol its a beast setup for a pc. My sound card gets hooked up to my amp that gets hoked up to my headphones XD

  • @1ben1245 No, they don't sound good for in-ears. They don't even sound good for in-ears at it's price range. But I agree they sound good for 25 bucks.

  • @mefxes They def would cost more than 25 bucks. Thats for sure. But i know that Audio technica's in ears are better since their frequency range on their 60 dollar ones are 18-22000 compared to the standard bose and monster's 20-20000. Even the copper and the gold don't sound as good as the Audio technicas but hey, they look good :)

  • @1ben1245 These specs mean nothing, you can't use specs to measure sound quality. So please don't. About the ATH's, they make a huge quantity of products, you can't say about the brand, say about the model. Pro Gold and Pro Copper are way better than maybe 80% of ATH in-ears...

  • @mefxes i'm going to have to highly disagree with that. Specs in the headphones are what makes the headphones. If you don't believe that then you completely don't know anything about good audio. Many of the good headphones will have a high frequency range of 35000 at least. It also depends on how it is constructed to give you a sound stage and a good unmuffled sound. If you never bought an ATH headphone, i highly suggest you do. What headphones do you own?

  • @1ben1245 Sorry dude, you're wrong. Specs don't make the earphones. And again, you can't judge by brand: ATH have LOTS of earphones, cheap ones, good ones, expensive ones... what ATH models are you using for reference?

  • @mefxes ATH-CK7ASV which are a much better value and better sounding than all monster turbines.Audio technica isn't well know but it is a professional audio company. Monster stuff and bose are just over rated if you ask me. Specs do make the headphones because if you buy beats by dre studios which are 20-20000 (which i have) compared to an audio technica m50 15-28000 (Also have) You will hear the difference. Sound seperation will be better and you will get a rather flat sound.

  • @1ben1245 Sorry, but you're all wrong. ATH is a VERY well known company. ATH-CK7ASV is an mid/entry level product, can't even be compared to Pro Golds and Pro Coppers or Milles Davis. If you want high-end audiophile grade ATH products you should read about CK10, CK100, CK90Pro... and forget about specs and brands like Bose. And you'll be right if you say Pro Golds and Pro Coppers are overpriced, but not overrated. Again, forget about the brands, talk about the models...

  • @mefxes Its not the price or the models that makes the headphones. Its the specs. Know that and you won't get crappy headphones. Audio technica isn't well known by common ppl. The 5 most well known headphones r bose, skullcandy, sony, apple, and maybe the beats by dre. So ATH isn't a "VERY" well known company. You ask someone of the streets what AT is and they will be clueless. Anyways, earbuds are shit so don't make such a big fuss about them being "Audiophile" Headphones.

  • @1ben1245 I guess I'm talking here at audiophile level, so when I say ATH is a very well known brand, I talk about audiophile world. Neither specs or price make the earphones but you can't argue here using entry products as example. None of the ATH models I told before are earbuds. And about earbuds, you can find audiophile grade products too, like the Yuins. Sorry, I think you know nothing. Please read something and if you can, try the products and see by yourself that you're completely wrong.

  • @mefxes -_- I know there are audiophile earbuds but they are like 700-1250 bucks. They don't even look like earbuds. They are big and customly made for your ears usually. Yes i do know alot about headphones. I am a member of Head fi and make many comments and recommendations. All i can say are that all monster products are shit and overpriced. Some like beats are over rated. If you know so much about headphone, what kind of headphones do you have? These fake ones you wear?

  • @1ben1245 @1ben1245 Dude, are you sure you know what an earbud is? Earbuds aren't at that price range and aren't custom mold. If you're a member of head-fi and make many comments and reccomendations, I'll be very selective about what I read on head-fi from now on. Thank you for yout advice.

  • @mefxes Your welcome :) Custom mold earbuds are price at that depending on which company you buy it from.

  • @1ben1245 Are you talking about earbuds or custom? I think you should decide... if they are custom molded they aren't earbuds anymore.

  • @mefxes samething, they r all earbuds -_- planning on getting the coppers anyways. I'ma put an end to this comment battle lol. getting tired of this.

  • @1ben1245 Just because the frequency range, and frequency response are better on the charts doesn't mean they sound better at all. The time in between vibrating and standing, in the drivers, does a lot for sound quality, as well as product material. Air channels, shape, and driver positioning also has a lot to do with sound. I feel the only reason anyone ever cares about frequency range and response is to get a quick glance at quality. ProGolds/HD600/and almost all technics FTW!

  • @emptyvid I agree but frequency ranges do make a difference as well. If they are too low you will get a muffled sound but if they are wide then u'll get a clean crisp sound from the deep bass to the high trembles.

  • @1ben1245 True true. BUT! Most headphones/earbuds have good high end frequency response, mainly do to the fact that it's easy to make crisp treble. Bass is the hard one. So the only times when you find expensive headphones/earbuds with low frequency response on the high end, is when they're designed for music only needing lows, mids, and high mids (rap/hiphop). Golds are great for anyone who loves drum and bass btw, amazing lows and crisp highs, crappy mids though.

  • I got fake ones from Amazon they were unloading them as the deal of the day 58 bucks lasted 4 months until right ear bud went out then I sent them in to get replaced and received the real ones they are so much better than the fakes the cord doesn't tangle up as much the jack is right angled for better durability. I can't believe Amazon would do that but hey ended up with the original ones in the end and only cost me a third of the price. wish I saw this video before. Thanks

  • dude i think these are real because all hong kong authorised resellers have that sticker .BTW ALL MONSTER PRODUCTS ARE MADE IN CHINA

  • @review4u88 This is a fake which sells for ~11 USD. It's very well built as you can see.

  • @mefxes But have you compared them to original ones or it's only because you don't think it's good compared to PL30 orSHE9550? I bought many of those chinese so-called fakes and they are very different: some of them are really bad fakes, bad wires, bad build quality and main-the sound is bad but some(and many,in fact)- are just as original in all aspects. And the price for fakes and so-called fakes is the same or almost the same and always- less then so-called originals.So-it's all about the sound

  • @slovelissimo Yes, it's all about the sound. That's what matters afterall. Monster Turbine series are good earphones, they are much better than any cheap earphones most people use and they don't even compete with PL30 and 9550 because they're much better and much expensive. These fakes are nothing, but if you are for the looks, go for them. They are very, very well built. But sound bad.

  • c'mon people. Who cares about the package?? disassemble them to see the inner difference! Tell us about the sound! Blind-compare them to each other to tell the difference without something like "this is fake-yeah,and they sound bad"! who cares about what dealer says& of course they will tell you much about how bad it is not to buy the same product cheaper-they earn a lot of money for it! Don't be fooled by marketing.

    Same materials.

    Same inner structure.

    Same sound.

    Different price.

  • @slovelissimo It's not the same sound, that's the problem. I gave mine, I prefer PL30 and SHE9550 over it. The package is just the clue for you to know that what you got isn't what you expected.

  • @mefxes

    Aeeee!!

    tu é flamenguista

  • The inner box is what gave it away to me , the real ones have a very thick look to them.

  • Chinese sellers are liar when selling items that doesn't belong in catagory including iPod. All you can do is spend time reporting for something that not guranteed to be remove.

  • @Bopkasen funny you say that, i chatted with a person on Owntadotcom, i asked why the sony Sony MDR-EX90LP were only 18 bucks, he straight up told me that they were not original, im still going to buy some Kanen KM-903 in ear headphones just to try them out because there only 7 bucks, and im pretty sure you cant get headphones for 7 bucks here in the U.S. lmao

  • @SuperBrandango Chinese are taking advantage of having a dropshipping companies in US to forward their worthless stuff to ebay buyers. Most can be commonly found in California.

They sell cheap Mp3 player that have fragile part like USB. While I was cleaning the mp3 player, it was plug into the wall and for strange reason *SNAP* all for cleaning it. Forget warranty... they don't have a proper QoS to offer you that.

  • @Bopkasen well you should have common sense when buying something expensive like a ipod, better to just pay full price at the store rather than trying to get it for 20 bucks cheaper online

  • @SuperBrandango

$20 buck item can break too. No, I wouldn't pay $200 for an iPod if it sold for $100 on eBay not unless if you are a consumer slave who willing to pay for anything at high price.

  • @Bopkasen Buy a ZuneHD, they are way better especially when you can get a 16 gig for 169 bucks or a 32 gig for 200

  • just because theres chinese written on it doesn't mean its fake. China sells monster products too :l

  • @1ben1245 That's not what Monster support say.

  • @mefxes well, monster just likes to rip people off. I got my beats by dre studios off ebay for 255 and they are legit. I know that for a fact. Monster says they don't think so but wants me to send them in for like a month............. I don't like monster brand. They aren't bad, its just their products are usually a rip off :l Some fakes sounds even better then their headphones XD

  • @1ben1245 I understand all your concerns about Monster, as I think like you about them and their products. But this case in particular is different. I know this item is fake because I've found where to buy them directly for something like $12 a piece. The same happens to other headphone models. And no, they are different and sound different. Not bad for an average headphone, anyway.

  • @mefxes trust me, the chinese characters mean that they are real.

  • @ShadowAudio They say chinese Monster Products sound bad too?

  • @1ben1245 I agree I liked monster back in 2009 when they just had a few different headphones and earbuds to choose from and were respected and werent as big, now they just piss me off because in only 2 years they are a huge conglomerate, now they have countless earbuds and headphones the beatbox ipod dock, laptops with beats audio which isnt all that great and just tons of things, and now they basically tell you "if you dont listen to our products your just a fool" basically

  • I got some Fake Beats by dre Tour with ControlTalk and i was Taken care of with The Buyer Protection and they paid me to ship them back so i didnt loose a penny

  • @TDHReviews Nice. Unfortunately a different treatment for me.

  • @mefxes what happened to you

  • @mefxes Oh you didnt get a refund, did you file a claim

  • I just got some Monster Jamz on Ebay shipped from US and they have that china sticker on them but i have never seen or heard of Fake Monster Jamz any ideas

  • @th19940305 monster headphones from ebay are all fake. its written on the original web

  • @squeenge Ive bought both real and fakes off there you have to know what to look for

  • @th19940305 What price you paid for them? Can you tell us your impressions about both?

  • @mefxes Check out my Unboxing and ask questions on my other Accout TDHReviws

  • @squeenge What if someone bought from Monster Authorized Resellers and decide to sell after a few months of use?

  • @th19940305 May be a fake...

  • @mefxes yea they were

  • i've bought these, is there any way i can get my money back? possibly by doing a video similar to yours? and if i was allowed my refund, could i keep the "Monster Turbines"? . Thanks in advance.

  • @HighDefinitionCoD This video didn't help me in any way. I'm just sharing the information to warn other people.

  • What should I look for if trying to determine if a pair is legit or not?

  • @tipoomaster You need to buy through an authorized reseller...

  • I got these...

  • @cavemandan543210 Fine. They are not bad. Very well build for the price.

  • @mefxes The person told me even the real ones have one cable longer than the other

  • @Xymordos I never heard of. These are even, I prefer.

  • @mefxes How was the wire? They used a new material that feels different from normal wires.

  • @Xymordos I never tried the genuines. I like the cables of these fake, they are, overall, maybe the better build I seen on a earphone.

  • The sticker on the front tells you that its a legit product form Hong Kong o.o. And AFAIK the China version of the box is different from the international version I think. How is the sound? My "fakes" were really good...

  • @Xymordos I can't compare with original ones so I can't say much. But if these are real I can say Monster Turbine is REALLY expensive for what they offer. No news, for sure, even with the genuine ones.

  • can u measure the box for me, the hight, the thickness the width please in cm cos i found the headphones at this market place for 60$ and i want to measure the product befor i buy them please reply asap

  • @GamingPro101 It's 19 x 14 x 5 centimeters.

  • @mefxes thank you, do u know the measurements for the real box? or can u get them for me please :)

  • @GamingPro101 It's bigger.

  • what song is this?

  • @thatflyingpan It´s an audio swap suggested by YouTube...

  • hmn... i got some from amazon that sounded like shit (the left bud had no bass) so i sent it to monster to get a replacement. Monster accepted the request and sent me new ones. They're currently en route.

Something REALLY weird about the ones i got was that the PACKAGE showed what looked like a the pro version of the turbines, only sans the gold/copper color. They had the a right angle connector, the better stress relief and everything. Yet the headphones inside looked like the regular turbines

  • @vassilli0s Can you compare them with the ones in the video? Like the double flap box opening and the white bottom of the box? Thank you!

  • @mefxes I think they were the real monster ones, just defective. The box was totally legit. Sturdy opening, black bottom and everything.

Still, the pictures on the packaging intrigued me enough to take some barely intelligible cell phone pics of the box

    yfrog dot com /edsuperturbinej

    yfrog dot com /6gsturbinesidej

I got really excited at first... thought i might have gotten a newer upgraded model or something.

  • @vassilli0s That's good news, maybe they're updating their product. Please let me know when you receive your new ones if they are the version we all know or if it's this L jack and better stress relief version. Thank you for sharing that info!

  • @vassilli0s I had the same thing... If you look at the coppywrite years/information, they've updated the box but have yet to update the earphones. I think they unloaded all their "defective box" stock on Amazon- I got mine for more than half off as part of an early black Friday deal.

  • @whatpoint77

i saw that $60 super deal on amazon after i ordered mine and ordered a second pair, returned the first pair that i got for $100.

unfortunately the ones i got back from monster are also defective, albeit to a lesser extent. The blue headphone is perfect, but the red one is SLIGHTLY quieter and the bass is recessed. They're not "broken" but the subtle imbalance causes the bass to sound like it's pushed off into a corner rather than surrounding you as it should.

  • @avp715 Go for the warranty!

  • @mefxes if i take monster up on it i need to pay 15 bucks to ship the headphones across the country to California and wait a month for them to ship them back.

I think i'm done with monster.

ive already gotten 3 defective pairs and im sick of dealing with returns. I mean it's been two months and $30 of shipping fees and all ive gotten is defective headphones from them

  • @avp715 That's unbelievable... too bad to read that.

  • @whatpoint77 How do they sound?

  • @vassilli0s i got the same thing

  • IS it safe to order form amazon ?

  • @ilovecds112 I don't know. You can find authorized dealers listed at monstercable's website. I don't have experience with Amazon because they don't send electronics to Brazil. Good luck.

  • i bought mine from ebay. everything seems legit( the box headphones and stuff) but the carry case doesnt have the monster logo on it. are they fake?

  • @TheUberPeople Who can say? I can't, sorry. It's sad that Monster won't help you because you bought through Ebay, so the only way to assure is having a real and compare them. =(

  • doo they sound like the real ones

  • @juliez561 I don't know, I don't tried the real ones. But I doubt. They're good tho, good sounding, musical, no sibilance, no distortion...

  • How can you tell if a website is offering counterfeit or real ones?

  • @tipoomaster According to Monster Cable, the only way is to buy through authorized dealers.

  • ya i got these off ebay thinking they were real but they are metal and hopefully they last a while

  • @oPsYcHoTiCo how can you tell they are fake. i got a pair of golds and am not really sure.

  • would these be worth the price for $50?

  • @oPsYcHoTiCo You can buy them on Ebay for about $25. From around 25 to 50 bucks I have SoundMagic PL30 (24 on FocalPrice) and Visang R03 known as Brainwavz M2 (48 on Ebay), both sound better than this fakes. Their real price would be like $15...

  • so were those real or fake? how could you tell?

  • @SuperNZSkater Yes, it's fake. It's box is smaller, cheaper and doesn't even open like genuine's. It's hard to tell just by the earphones without a real one to compare side by side, as the fakes build quality is very good.

  • @saibaba3 Show Emmanuel, obrigado.
