  • Pretty sure he said 3 million years we will collide, anyone want to confirm this?

  • @swingersadult1 Billion, not million. There are no guarantees.

  • Either way the earth is pretty much doomed in 3 million years.

  • @swingersadult1

3.5 billion if the Sun goes out. Excluding religious doomsday theories, greenhouse/pollution, etc.

  • how nice 3 choices freeze to death denigrate and get suck into a black hole or have our body's blow up burn and then get sucked up god has good good plans doesn't he lol

  • why does it even matter what will happen to us in 3 billion years?

  • 3 billion years? Shit. There goes my retirement.

  • @pawndominance1 Yeah i heard that too, i got the idea that they basically pass through eachother and reform with gravity.

  • i heard that theres not actually a lot of collisions when this happens--like when they showed the 2 galaxies merging--whats really happening is all the objects are just being moved by gravity because the distance from each star/planet is still so far, even if there are billions of them.

  • lmao look at his face at the end.

  • lol. SUX to be living at that time. HAAHAHAHAHHA

    :>

  • I love dorks, nerds and geeks, my boyfriend is a scientist, I love that he is smart and he has a huge Cock!

  • and after this happens chuck noris is still asleep in his bed

  • And what happens if we get thrown into space? we just sit there and die slowly?

  • @geemoney558 We'll probably already be dead from the heat or our atmosphere being blown away completely.

  • That will not be the end of Milky way, just Milky way and Andromeda galaxy will be one Eliptical Galaxy

  • @TMscorpion1000 I was about to say the exact same thing. If anything, this might just kill us while sparking new life in the two galaxies, creating a new one which will last even longer than the two separate ones would have lasted.

  • the milky way isn't ending its just becoming bigger and colliding with another galaxy. i just hope by then we are still alive. and the human race is still around. and we become way more advanced in intergalactic travel.

  • If humans learn to collaborate they will find a way to leave earth and colonize other planets before this happens.

If humans don't learn to collaborate, well, they will destroy earth first.

  • The greatest light show ever.

  • I wonder what the name of that dramatic piece of music is.

  • @luckyday465768

I believe it is John Barry's "Main Title Theme" from the movie "The Black Hole."

  • @OrangeJuliusPage I just listened to the name you gave me. It's not it. I mean the one that starts at 1:22.

  • @luckyday465768

Ah, I got your back. I believe it's the Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan End Credits.

  • come on milkyway let's kick andromeda's ass! BRING IT ON!

  • The Milkyway and Andromda collide into a wierd looking galaxy. :/

  • True beauty...

  • Im thinking look how much our technology is changing every 2 years ? x by 3 billions years? imagen the technology that we would have by then and there might be something that we could do to escape to another dimention of the galaxy or to another planet or something to prevent the human extinction

  • @zuluwilliam Considering half the "educated" people in the world can barely even spell... probably not much.

  • Earths a fucking boss standing up to that supernova. Come at me bro.

  • wtf...why are you idiots getting so stirred up? humanity shouldn't give a shit about this, and i dont care about humanity.when i die its over, whatever happens to the others apes i could care less.

  • Our caramel and nugget core will be ok though. Right?

  • unfitting music.

  • Wait, why don't they know which side of our galaxy the solar system will be on? It takes over 200 million years to go all the way around, and this collision is only 20-something orbits away. I thought he worked this all out in detail?

  • deep fried earth lol

  • the earth would be toast 3:23 LOL. his tone epic.

  • Won't our sun be dead by then? And I just love it how they make near cheerful music playing all this >_>

  • In 3 billion years im sure earth will already be gone and Humans would be inhabiting a different planet, or maybe even multiple planets.

  • @xXRobTehBobXx In 3 billion years I doubt humans would be humans if you know what I mean. Our species would evolve into something we wouldn't even recognize.

  • @jburr36 Like the theories that Greys are just humans, from the future, that were mutated from a future nuclear war. Something about that just seems so likely.

  • @xXRobTehBobXx

I like a theory that they gentically enhanced themselves to be superintelligent and so on. :D

  • @ZeroZic We are super-intelligent bro, our government and system restrict us although.

  • Yeeeah...yeeah..

Cause thats SO how everything will end!

    Yeah right. >_>

  • all i saw was 2 blobs fightin with lots of bomb effects xD

  • american garbage

  • @cripppton ??

  • 3 billion year's... I don't even know what to say to that...

  • This isn't gouing to happen for a LONG time, billions of years, and who knows what our technology will be like at that time, thats something nobody can predict. We probably won't be forced to sit here on earth waiting for the outcome.Anyways our sun is going to burn out in about 5 billion years,so if the collision doesn't get us,our sun dying will, most likely we will be at least a type II civilization by then, but hopefully by then we will be a type III,exploring the Universe.

  • erm... Milkomeda? Other sudgestions anyone? Andromilka?

  • this scares me

  • Black Hole One:i am going to suck you first

Black Hole Two: No i am going to suck you first

    Merges

Black Hole Three : I am the boss YEH

Earth: Screw you guys, i am packing my bags and flunk myself into space

  • Can't they calculate what will happen to the earth?

  • Ive heard that the galaxies would simply pass through one another and the chance for planetary collision would be minimal :S

  • meet you all in 300,000,001 years,

  • I dont think people realize how slow 4000kph is in space, the earth orbits the sun at 100,000 kph and it still takes 1 year (365 days) to fully orbit THE SUN, A PIXEL OF THE GALAXY.

TODAY IN IRRELEVANT NEWS FROM THE FUTURE EVERYTHING DIES

  • why do we care what happens in 3 billion years?

  • @supersaiyanEddieR Because its really cool to know !! And they found out because of these Galaxies who look different of the normal.. but they just were 2 Galaxies hitting eachother..

  • @supersaiyanEddieR Just because it doesn't matter doesn't mean it's not interesting.

  • @OurLucidDream519 i didnt say that. but yeah u right

  • Wouldn't they just collide and make one .... not trying so sound like a critic but it does seen like that would happen

  • Hyperbolic bollocks.

  • i like turtles.

  • we'd be dead with either result. if we're thrown out into space, i don't think we'd be able to stick with our sun and therefore would instantly freeze.

  • @AMERICANchristopher No. I don't think the solar system would break apart just because it was thrown from the galaxy. I think one scientist I saw talking about this said we might not even notice if not for the night sky suddenly changing drastically. Though, I'm sure there might be other risks to living in a rogue star system.

  • @evilemperordude that sounds cool earth shall be our space ship but still it might change suns gravatatinal pull being knocked around like that

  • I bet there's a hot interstellar chick with a big rack in those black holes

  • Is this going to happen before the sun expands and kills us?? If not then this is all bogus. Anyone know?

  • id loved to be dead and just watching this happen since every last one of us right now will be dead before that even heppens

  • If this is true when do you believe this will happen? If it is moving at such a fast pace compared to any technology on earth

  • But: 1 - Would Justin Beiber survive the collision ? and 2 - Will it blend ?

  • I seriously tought that the two Galaxies would, effectively, pass through Eachother, but with little effect: The empty space between each Solar System is so huge that the possibilities of collisions is very low.

Furthermore, the kinetic energy acquired by each Galaxy during Their approach to Eachother would make Them pass through Eachother, but They would then continue Their route away from Eachother, after minor damage (the most damage being done by the respective Black Holes ).

  • @ve2zzz This was my understanding as well, unless the galactic cores (black holes) somehow managed to impact each other, which would be extremely improbable, but I haven't seen the model so i don't know. My guess is that the galaxies would pass through, with each galactic core ripping whatever from the other galaxy as they passed through each other. of course, these computer models are really just educated guesses anyways

  • Will there still be access to online porn after the galaxies collide?

  • Comment removed

  • lol don't care. humanity will have long since been extinct by then

  • Hmm...this video is giving a totally different prediction than several other documentaries I have seen. Most I have seen say that there is so much empty space in a galaxy that you would likely not even know the 2 galaxies are colliding, unless you happen to be unlucky enough to fall into the super massive black hole, but that is a 1 in a nearly uncountable chance when the compare the size of Andromeda to its SMB's even horizon.

  • @dacypher22 That's the prediction I hear a lot more. The galaxies merge or pass through each other, but collisions are rare because off how far apart stars are from each other. And Earth most likely makes it through the event intact.

  • Well this happen before the sun dies?

  • The universe collides, produced by Michael Bay.

  • Why the speculation about the relative position of the Earth? Was the long and complex calculation incomplete?

  • OMG were gonna die billions of years b4 this happens but aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....lol

  • Their are so many deaths thats supposed to happen to Earth. Like this video and more like when are sun dies it becomes a red giants that will explode hiting earth and about giant meteors. They say humans wont be alive when stuff like that will but i say they will because of the so much technology there making soon we will have fying hovering cars in the future. 2012 is fake and make believe because that domms day calender was off for 100 yaers, they were lieing the whole time.

  • @raiders87046 2012 is not about the destruction of humanity, earth and what ever those fatalist idiots say. It's the begining of the new world order.Politicians have been talking about it for years. The economy is going to colapse and the earths nations will be reorganized in to a one world government over time with a unified curency to prevent crysises like the one on going now. Or we'll all just die :P No one knows for sure but I can see many things pointing towards my theory.

  • @TheBlackIdentety agreed

  • not in my hands u wont cuz im 8 its not gona hapoen

  • That's really scary and all but based on the rate of human development of all history we will probably be masters of space/time by then and yes I know time doesnt really exist and it's just a human measurement of atom movement

  • what program was this?

  • IM SCARED OF MILK NOW *cheks the frig* AHHHHH MILLLK

  • Listen, The earth will be non-existent by that time. Then sun will have swallowed us and exploded. Also, The stars will not collide will other stars.

What will happen: The GASES will hit each other and go flying out of each galaxy. The black holes will merge and become an elliptical galaxy. This was a HUGE over exaggeration of what will happen. Our solar system will be non existent by that time.

  • @ultimaxx9 New data suggests that this collision will happen 2-3 billion years from now. The sun won't engulf the earth until about 4-5 billion years out.

  • @snorider Well, By that time the tectonic plates will have shifted, Ocean currents changed, and most likely another Ice Age. Let's worry about those things first.

  • @ultimaxx9 What does any of that have to do with this video? This video is about two galaxies colliding.

  • @ultimaxx9 The sun will swallow the earth about 2 billion years after the collision of the galaxies in this video.

  • @ultimaxx9 Suns don't explode. They implode causing a black hole. -.-

  • @NeededBabyCakez Our sun is not big enough to become a black hole. Our sun will become a red giant and eat us up. after that it will shed off its layers and after some time it will become a dwarf star and eventually stop shining.

  • @ultimaxx9 Either way we're screwed..

  • i think in 3 billion years space tech will be so good that we can just leave the galaxy and create an artificial solar system or something

  • it will either end in the big rip or the big crunch.. both of those would be 10 to 15 billion years after the sun burns out though...........

  • HOLY FUCK!!!!!! WHO CARES ABOUT THAT SHIT IF ITS OUR TIME TO GO , ITS OUR TIME TO GO????!!!!!

  • space sex

  • broly the legendary super sayan's dream come true

  • Galaxies merge all the time. Our own galaxy is in a process of absorbing the Sagittarius Dwarf Galaxy and has taken in many others. None of this colliding happens in minutes but over millions of years.

  • If we pull off the singularity as some scientists predict we all may be around when this happens. Would be a great fireworks show lol

  • I wish that Earth can survive the next 100 years...and i don`t give a shit about the next whatever....years....

  • Earth wont live that long anyway. so we're good.

  • the Earth would be toast...I LOVE TOAST!! :D

  • @matarese36 WITH JELLY!!!! XDDD

  • @matarese36 LOL

  • 3 billion years, (assuming our species survives that long, which i highly doubt)

We won't be anything nearly recognizable as human. we would have evolved into something completely different. there wont be a "We" as there is today.

  • Well be colonizing the galaxy's by then.

  • 2 billion years wont come that fast you know...

  • I actually want to be alive a the time of collision

  • Right andromeda is moving towards us right but we are probably moving away from andromeda so it will just be a chase through the universe

  • yeah andromeda will hit us but thanks to the incredible distance, and area of nothingness the risk ofr our solarsystem getting hit by another star is very very small.

  • Well just two problems: 1. Earth does not exist when this happens. Why? Sun= Red Giant = Earth = Earth has melted. 2. If we are thrown out to the emptines of space, im pretty sure that if Earth WOULD exist it would crash in to another planets in our solar system.

  • Has anyone ever thought of... UNIVERSE COLLISIONS!!!

    Never mind.

  • Damn it, now I feel like eating a Milky Way.. D:

  • "This is no good for earth." NO SHIT SHERLOCK

  • Black Holes colliding = Division by Zero gone horribly wrong.

  • is it just me or did it look like he smiled when he said the earth would b toast....?

  • this is too good

  • First the Sun is going to die, then the Milky Way, and the whole universe. Does this means that humanity & the rest are meant to be extinct?! Then in the next, new universe, galaxy & planet a new race appears. After a trillion years or so, another similar catastrophe again will happen.

    And again, again, again .....................

  • When we're out of Earth we will become Terrans. In space we will meet the Protoss and the Zerg.

    Then Brood War ignites!

  • 0:43 OMG WE GONNA DIE!!!! Oh wait the world will end way before this happens... I am more worried about Nuclear holocausts then this lol.

  • 3 billion years ey? why are people freaking out? sure its weird to think it might end like that. but that 3 billion years away. not 3 million. not 3 hundred. 3 billion. or do people plan on leaving over 100 years and seeing this?

  • Wow... Dats some serious shit

  • @YuriHana20 Lol we would basically explode in less than a second. I

m no expert but I don't exactly think of that as a painful death

  • wait so if we become a black hole,..we die and take everythng with us rite?it wont b dark cuz lite cnt escape wich means we might live again sumwhere else so im good wit tht haha

  • @YuriHana20 3 billions years is a long way. You will live a long and healthy life (: don't worry. This won't happen in your lifetime.

  • Now thats how you have sex

  • $20 Bucks Says Milkyway will win in this fight.

BTW why is our Galaxy called the Milkyway LOL Cows rule dis galaxy... it's obvious

  • I like toast

  • im scared but wait in 3 billion years humans might not even live on the milkyway humans might! live some were else its like a 50% 50% chance we move some were else in that long because some people are getting relly dumb

  • @josecardenase1 The human race will be extinct long before 3 billion years.

  • @YuriHana20 yeah, it will be a shameful and painful death you'll experience at the ripe old age of 3 billion.

  • I'm scared ; - ;

  • But since scientists can't see everything in space what if theres already a massive black hole bigger than our galaxy... And it's pulling everything towards it growing in size... But so far away we can't see it and more size = more gravity correct? and our impending doom will come in 10 years! :o

  • Galaxies colliding? let's add explosions!

  • There won't be "humans" alive in 3 billion years and there may not even be life in the milky way at all, but living sum where else

  • I wish I could be alive to witness something like this. But then which will happen firts? The earth imploding on itself? The sun exploding? Or this? :D

  • Well I hope Justin Bieber's Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Gets swung from the earth freezes to death or burns to deaf first

  • So, we either burn or freeze. Both conclusions are bad.

  • This guy looks like he wants the end of the world lol? He is a real crazy scientist haha.

  • that gigantic monster should be the final boss of a space adventure game or something and the giant blackhole would have 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 HP

you would have to be level 99999999999999 at least xDDDDDD

  • IF we as humans live to see this day, we'll be on a different planet billions and billions of light years away

  • @jacobey3 humans wont survive another 200 million years atleast...

  • its death any way

  • I would be very happy if I weren't alive anymore if that may happen..

  • By that time we would have already had either the "Big Rip" or the "Big Freeze" so yeah

  • @FwaamingDwagon Forget the Draco, dude. The numbers don't lie. Shit like this happens all the time. Doesn't change the spirituality and eternal recurrence of the Universe.... But there is no god to control everything. I'm a Sirian. We're the analytical ones.

  • don't worry.. we'll have killed ourselves by then.

  • I'd rather die disintegrating in seconds than freeze to death slowly.

anyways, we'll probably figure something out by then.

  • Mmm, toast :3

  • Even though this video is represented by the BBC, it is slightly wrong. The whole daul feeding frenzy thing wont happen, Because if they started to merge one would gain a discharge so immense it would throw the other black hole out of the galaxy at the speed of light! and we would be safe from the black whole as long as we dont cross the eent horizon

BUT we would still be fucked by the explosions

  • Anyone notice how the science nerd is :-) while he tells us all this???

  • Don't worry about any of this. Way before this occurs we will learn how to control galactic motion.

  • And that my son, is what happens when Chuck Norris reproduces..

  • Well if we're thrown off into space we'll all freeze to death and the tree's will all die so im not sure how much better that would be.. sounds like we're screwed either way.

But my understanding is the sun is getting hotter which may or may not increase temperatures on earth (depending on the atmosphere), Plus it's suppose to turn into a red giant in about 5 billion.. so My guess is we'll probably be screwed long before we hit Andromeda so this is the least of our worries.

  • not trying to sound clever or anything but! 3 billion years ago we didnt exist, so my guess is in another 3 billion years we wont exist. conclusion......... who gives a toss.

  • @pike8300 Yeah I agree, we won't last no where near that long.

  • @pike8300 Who know what the future holds, maybe we start travelling through space, find another planet, but then again, i put my money on us not being here,

  • @pike8300 sinking into a black whole doesn't mean that we are gone.None knows whats in a black whole, even though my guess is that it is going to be slightly squashy :P

  • @pike8300 We are probably going to be on a different planet by a few billion years, so we will exist -.-

  • it's look like two octupus are fighting.

  • Jak černá díra pohltila jinou tomu se říká Kvasar.

  • Galaxy Porn?

  • 3 billion years?

well, I can't support 3 more weeks with Justin Bieber alive

  • i watched the video with my mouth open and always saying WTF?

  • In 4 billion years, and we're still stuck on this rock? What else in 4 billion years, American cars still getting 32 miles per gallon?

  • @EdBoonSucks,correction,.....3 billion years ^__^

  • @LiLMoE1338 Oh OK, 3 Billion years American cars still getting 32 miles per gal.

  • by that time, our solar system has already gone. Earth was only a zillion times smaller than a molecule from the outer view but it became beside the two galaxies...

  • Many galaxies crashed on milky Way, nothing happen

  • Good luck kids xD
