You can do this effect pretty easy with a video editor.

Film yourself twice at the same camera position and stay out of the middle.

Recorded it twice without moving the camera, just cut out the half of the screen he wasnt on in editing. Not that difficult

No it is not cut out in half of the screen.

If you do that you see a line in the middle,

because the light and the shadow is different when you stand in different positions.

You have to use a track matte and

title with a gadient,

so the two vidoes blend in each other.
