@MrBmoreallday see our video "Ninjutsu :on deadly ground". Also see the video "Ninjutsu: No larping" there is some fast action sparring and some ground fighting in that video as well.
very good stuff i love the fact how far this has came since mr duncan started it out...you and your father have took it a very long way. dam good stuff mr lewis.
i think that making a reenactment of a actual incident helps the students see how your training comes into play-i notice that the victim did not physically strike but still tried to deescalate the problem by putting them to the ground-i am curious as to how he did hold back a actual punch? oldsgtmajusmc
What I like more about this particular style of ninjutsu is that they are more focused on the combat concepts rather than talking about the bs lineage most schools try to claim.
Sensei Lewis, please keep doing what you are doing. Everything that I have seen in your videos has worked out for me. If I ever get the opportunity I would like to train with you and your fellow students at your dojo.
Thank you Sensei Lewis and train safe. Much respect to the Koga Ryu Ninjutsu System.
I love Taijutsu. I didn't stick with Ninjutsu because of the bad reputation the Ninja have in Media, but i learned so many practical things.
I've been in some fights and thanks to my training in Taijutsu, Taekwondo, kung fu and others, i survived many attacks.
Mostly thankful that i learned Taijutsu. It helped me to look at fighting in a different way and not in just grappling and striking but i see on several angles to fight on instead of just 1 or 3 and what to use for weapons.
Martial arts is like touch-typing. Once you learn the movements, applying them comes naturally. Your body and your muscle-memory kick in and the more hands-on practice you get the more dangerous you become. Yet if you don't ever practice on a human you're at a disadvantage but you're at a HUGE advantage over those who don't have any training at all.
Join our Long distance online classes its free to join. You only have to pay for the video lessons which are not expensive. We even offer belt ranks to those who complete the courses. Go to our channel and visit our website from there.
how much for the video lessons?and does your videos go around the whole concept of ninjutsu i mean does it like only explain a certain bit of ninjutsu or does it explain the whole lot?
The videos lessons are between $4 and $6 as of now. The lessons focus more on ninjutsu self defense concepts and techniques more than the history of ninjutsu.
My apologizes, but my parents don't like me learning online for some reason. I really wanted to ask you about where are your whereabouts because i live in london and i was wondering if you might be around london
that's tight i'm glad he could handle the situation without being hurt that is what we all train for. That is the biggest proof anyone could ask for in regards to the system and your ability to teach it. peace.
If you consider the tactics, used by the Marines, the Navy SEALs, the Army Rangers and the Mossad, to name a few, you will realize that they are very similar and even duplicates of ninjutsu, whether ancient or modern.
first of all let me say that i think your videos are fantastic.
as for ninjitsu.. its defiantly on my to do list lol. unfortuneatly theres not any ninjitsu classes near me at the moment. but it seems like such a beautiful and effective martial art. I think ninjitsu really sums up what a martial art should be. Hopefully i get a chance to try it out in the future.
Who told you it wasnt used by the military and police? It has been in fact used. The cage is a tournament with rules. Ninjutsu is not a sport competitition art. Such things as eye gouging, groin strikes, throat strikes, pulling out hidden knives and other weapons are not allowed in the cage. Thats why perhaps. But for sure law enforcement and military have used it as well as other styles.
Hey SuubUrbanNinja I think it would be nice if you added some training videos on the body rather than just techniques like on how to improve your balance and become quicker.
very good system of martial science!!!! you have taken alot of chances with your videos. i would like to commend you on the defense of the systerm. you are a great teacher. keep up the great work.
this is crazy...why dude pushed that other dude and he just start attackin the other guy without hittin him back or anything :( ,lol just playin but this is good
It was military personel, so he expected them to respond more responsibly since he was trying to stop them from making a big mistake and get into trouble with the Navy police.
Mistake 1,2 & 3 are you posting these mistakes, Monday mourning quarterbacking gets you nowhere. Did we fail to mention Sensei's student survived or do you indulge in reality. The proof of anyone combat is to survive and hindsight is 20/20.
I've seen a friend of mine do some wicked stuff when a group of guys tried to mug us. He took em down without me having to lift a finger. So much for muay thai being the holy grail in my eyes.
I wanna learn this and am willing to get my ass kicked to get better. Thanx for sharing.
To be honest, sparring doesnt really prove it works , as the participants are both willing and not going out with the intent to harm. This was a true incident and the training we do worked with unknown attackers who had the intent to do serious harm. This was the true test.
Actually, if you care about your training partner you'll go full on aggressive on them whilst learning a technique. If you go easy on them without intending to hit them, they'll learn to defend themselves against nothing. If you go all out you've, potentially, saved their life.
Not too sure why I threw that in there, hope it helps.
I agree ,and disagree I like the tired tested and true crawl ,walk, and run. That being said there is diffidently a time to step it up. But give your students a chance to figure out the big things like where to step etc..
subburbanninja, I do agree with you but not entirely, cause nothing is better than the real thing (an actual fight w/ someone trying to hurt you) but sparring is prob the most effective way of testing skill besides actually fighting cause if you can do a technique on a person during a sparring session which is fully resisting and you still land the technique, that is what makes it effective. so what I mean is sparring is prob the closest thing to an actual fight. which is why I have to disagree.
I understand what your saying, but a lot of times when people spar, they usually seem to go in to a boxing type of match because both people are on guard. In an attack especially on the streets, the attack can be a surprise, or the attacker is on the offensive while defender is in defensive mode thus the attacker is making committed attacks and not so much worried about being on guard.
It's true, even going hard, you're not intending to do serious injury, so sparring isn't the same as a fight, but let's face it, what's a closer simulation, hard sparring or what's going on in this video. Anyone can make up a random story about beating off X attackers and post a video of their "reenactment" of the incident. Come on!
But again, to all you jealous haters, this is not a made up story, The Police were there, there is a police report, so just give it up ok. How do you think he was able to do what he did?? Because we do sparring secessions to stay prepared.
thanks for helping me find this! glad to hear it worked and against people with at least some training. i hope those guys see this and appreciate the pain your student could have caused but didnt. do you do combat training for multiple attackers or did this come natural? cuz that was textbook perfect. line them up, spread them out, disable quickly and on to the next one. awesome
HI Do you have any dvds for sale of your ninjutsu? I take a freestyle martial arts class and I would love to learn your system. I like to draw from different systems and not be stuck to one system or philisophy. thanks for any help and thanks again for your videos
Of course it works! Those types of questions always annoy me. I've studied ninjutsu independently through books and videos for a long time, and it came in handy when I fought. Now, I'm currently training in Budo Ryu Ninjutsu to attain actual rank.
Good for you student to be able to use it and use it wisely.
dont train in ninjutsu for rank, if so come to my ninjutsu dojo, and I will give you a black belt to hold your pants up. good luck in your quest for enlightenment...study hard there are no short cuts and lose the ego (question are good I'm sure asked the same once apon-a- time.) Mistake 1) Getting involved in someone elses business.
Mistake 2) Getting involved where your attackers have reinforcements and you don't.
Mistake 3) Telling everybody with a PC who you are and where to find you, your family, and your friends...
