i've watched tons of vids on gasifiers over the past 1 1/2 yrs and this is by far the best series i've found on youtube. all those guys selling these things gotta be mad over this series. great job on the gasifier and presentation.
@sawdustjohnpa thanks for the kind words, you may be right about upsetting but that wasn't my goal, i just wanted to show people that it can be done by themselves. It does bum me out people are cashing in on this, if it helps people become more independent i'm more than willing to show how to do it. I built mine for around $200, i'm sure it could be done cheaper, i have seen some manufacturers ask $7000 plus, granted they are very pretty but that seems a little rediculous for what it is....josh
I seen that now... very good, i've had a get set run on a fema type gasifier but ended up getting a stuck valve and bending a push rod. hope you have better luck than i did.
Well, I waited till I had watched all of the gassifier before I commented. This has been very informative and has really reduced the intimidation factor. Really enjoyed the videos and I will be sending a message begging for the PDF.
@sjf67gto i used the pipe as the grating, drilled 125ish 1/4" holes in the bottom radius of the pipe and capped the end, as for fuel i'm using pellets at the moment but plan on trying all sorts of fuels, thanks for the comment,...josh
@dockspa the gasifier can run on any dry biomass, i use pellets for a control to test other parts in the system they are not mandatory just convienant and very uniform.
