From what i herd Pluto was kicked in a very bad place and was chasing him so he could how a Lead (Boss) the boy who did it and the mother didn't like that and pushed him and fell, after he put his hands up to show he didn't touch the mother at all but she touched him. later the security cot up with the mother and son (thanks to surveillance cameras) and supposedly Banned them.

if you could bottle up all the verbal and physical abuse a character gets in a typical 8 hour work day, times a 5 day work week, I think you'd maybe you'd have a better understanding and respect for why a character may have reacted the way Pluto did - at least he didn't WWE smackdown the kid (I'll bet he imagined it in his head).

The actors who wear the Disney costumes do receive some training as to how to behave around the guests and how to react in certain situations. True, they may not be paid as much as a professional actor might, but hopefully they went into thissituation with their eyes open. I work with elderly people and MRDD people, some of whom have behavioral issues, but I have learned how to deal with it. Regardless of the situation, you should always remain in control of your behavior.

In those costumes, sight is limited, you have litle to no peripheral vision, its hot, unbelievably hot, the pay to be honest isn't as good as you'd expect it to be, and you're surrounded by kids. And no matter what happens, you CANNOT break character. Imagine if someone came along and kicked you, you cant react the way you wat to you have to do what the character would do. The performer in Pluto's costume is not slow, he's going as fast as I can. Vision is severely limited in all Disney fur costumes, and to add to that they have to wear heavy, hot, velcro sneakers for the feet. Those make it even harder to walk around, let alone run. I worked with character performers in the Disney World parks during 2007 so I have my sources.

@StoryOfMyLife856 I actually wondered how something like that would happen. But then I realized, in costume, you don't see well and sometimes people next to you shift positions and you end up grabbing people accidentally.
The first time it happened to me, I immediately thought of the Tigger incident and I'm all panicking to my boss " I swear I didn't know she turned sideways. She was facing forward when I looked away!"
Luckily no harm done. She seemed to realize it was an accident.

I cannot say because I have character integrity but do not tell people that we are cooled and paid well ($9.00 an hour) and that we get more for how many books we sign and such when we all do the same amount of sets and same time limits...and the sight is not even what you think. please dont speak about what you dont know this is why people go and think they can do certain things like kick &hit and its ok. its not...

@MrNoah54 eyes...try thru a mesh nose or mouth which looks at my feet. try 20lbs of fur while wearing a t shirt and shorts and long socks underneath. do not make people think we are so comfy and just chillin thats why they have that attitude now that they came demand we be outside for 7 hours at a time and yell when god for bid we need a minute to breath fresh air....im really kind of offended.

I dunno who I feel more bad for: Pluto or the kid. I mean, I'd be madder then hell if my kid did that to a Disney Character. AND I woulda taken my kid out of the park, AFTER making my kid apologize to Pluto. Betcha that kid never got punished either. Pluto had a right to be mad, however, he shoulda also tried to keep his temper under control, but ya gotta remember too: its hot in those costumes and whoever dresses up in those costumes prolly gets hot and drowsy and its easy to lose your temper
