Wow these are some of the best dishes I have seen on Iron Chef. I was very impressed with the challenger and Moriomoto surprised me as well. But wow for Michiba to have such a capable guy as an assistant says a lot for his own skill.
Hey, how do other Japanese ppl view this? That they put a chef against Morimoto to go against Morimoto's progressive style? Are other Japanese ppl more like Michiba - they support the traditional style or do they like Morimoto? To me, I feel like this is sort of an insult to Morimoto.. but he's being a good sport. I hope he wins.
I can't imagine eating half these dishes, they're do completely different from what I'm used to here in the southern States. But I think I'd have givin my left arm to be on the tasting panel just once.

Michiba taught the challenger well. His dishes look something like Michiba would create himself.

A rather strange storyline, since Michiba himself was frequently challenged as being too unorthodox when he was Iron Chef Japanese.
