  • not sure what happened nozzel to small or no liner in the pvc big motors need cardboard liners or thay will blow apart right in the middel of the rocket motor same place if the nozzels to small too, the liner must be solid from one end to the other, pvc gets very hot on big motors and will melt the pvc in a milla second with out a liner..!

  • Why you must add multiple grains ? BP rockets or kno3/powdered sugar have one single grain...

  • nah, you're doing it all wrong... you're supposed to use 6'' pvc and pack about 100lb of propellant in it =P

  • lol

  • Was the nozzle too small? I thought that the preasure inside went way too high.

  • @ParaglidingManiac It could be. Another good point is what "SomeJoker911" wrote. :P

  • THE ROCKET IS TOO HEAVY FOR THE MOTOR.

  • your pvc is way too large you need to use 3/4 inch diameter PVC for high pressure motors with nozzles, as it can take 485psi internal pressue, and use a press to make grains not just 1 long one but several short 1 inch or 1.5 inch grains. That PVC appears to be more than an inch in diameter so.

  • Did anyone die

  • @Thomas369963 Yes, many died, but only in the name of SCIENCE!

  • Learn how to calculate pressures...gee lol

  • HAHA too much pressure in the combustion chamber.... that used to happen to me.... but before i make a 3 pound rocket i would make sure i calculate every thing XD

  • well wat do u thing would of happened?

  • Wile E Coyote....... Super Genius.

  • mmm back to the drawing board. Better luck next time I hope.

  • that was cool

  • Like you just made it to blow up..

  • BOOOM! haha nice, pity it cato'd 5*****

    ~FireTech93~

  • hey wat kinda fuel did u use

i also create rockets but with

astrolite and i blew a few up

    u need at least a 30ft radius

for the explosion and a 100ft

radius for the scrap metal flying

astrolite when used in a diff way

is actually a chemical bomb litterllay

so ya just wondering wat kinda fuel u

    used

  • stop making things up.

  • if u would have did

    a little bit of research

    u wouldnt be saything that

i forgive u for makin ur self

    look stupid its a shame

  • you are claiming you made rockets with astrolite correct?

  • hehehehe rockets with astrolite? i am making a rocket with TNT.......... cough cough *crap* cough

  • haha what a dumbass kid

  • wow mabey that would work cos tnt does burn and deflagrate.mabe that would work if it was cast with a core

  • nah, it wouldnt.

  • can u give a reason why u must no

  • TNT haves a very negative oxigen balance... it deflagrates terribly slow. Maybe if casted with some fuel like alluminium and a high power oxidizer, like amonium perchlorate may do the thing.

  • i no i just had to take the piss out of this fool.what a dick what a dick astrolite .oh my god

  • shut ur face.... blagger

  • i just responded to this video cuz i wanted to show a KABOOOM my rocket made at the end of my video............check it out everyone and commment on it... its my first vid. so it my suck bad but plz comment. thnx

  • lol. good banger though :P

  • LOLWUT?

  • quality viewing again but that wasn't a rocket motor - that was a bomb ;)

  • Quite a waste of fuel...let me guess, you've used just 1 grain, drilling a whole through it? Yeah. Use multiple grains and don't pressurize the motor.

  • Hey thanks for the tip.

  • @SomeJoker911 what do you mean by grain

  • Hey, if you're gonna fail, go big, right? :D

I'm just glad to see people doing fun yet *GASP* educational things instead of running around trying to be "gangsta" like the other 90% of the population.

  • i know if it was dumb how come ive watched it like 5 times already. nice explosion dudei just made some powdered postassium nitrate fine grade aluminum powder and iron oxide those motherfuckers take off but i use hard cardboard for my engines not hard plastic i dont like shrapnel.

  • hmm not good

  • we used steel piping for our bomb. lol. everyone loves shrapnel.

  • This SHOULD be called "HUGE 3lb pipe bomb EXPLODES!"

  • but it was meant to be a rocket, retard.

  • oops , I meant melted in the stove

  • Bates grains, that is the solution.

3 grains of 1/3 of the lenght of your actuall grain lenght. But it need to be sugar + kn melted in the oven.

  • Why would you say that?

  • The reason "pd68uk" said that is, he is an idiot, and he dosen't have a clue how hard it is to make rockets.

  • haha, for sure. not to mention that was an awesome explosion! What's not to love?!

  • cock!

  • makes a sparkler bomb look like a bottle rocket

  • Huge???

  • There's a job waiting for you at NASA...

  • You gotta blow up at least a few before you get it right. ;-)

  • fffffBOOOOOOM... OOM... OM!

  • omg what would the neigbors say if it was out back.

  • Dewd, look up "Bates Grain Design". You are on the right track, but need to quit trying the single grain design. It'll do that almost every time.

At ignition, you have a small surface area burning. As the burn progresses, that surface area grows. The diameter of the nozzle throat doesn't. Boom.

  • Shit nice pipebomb lol if you didint use it to be meant as a rocket and closed that hole it would have been so loud!

  • hah, ive had stuff happened to me too, like that, the explosion is so freaking loud!

  • Dude it was awesome either way haha. That boom was intense.

  • OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!Sorry it blew up :(
