Thanks for posting this video. It took me back to that summer day in 1977 when I got the news on Elvis. This video made it feel as if I was reliving that day again. I cried that day and listening to this caused tears to well up in my eyes almost 35 years later. It was/is such a tragedy what happened to that man. I'm so grateful for the music he left for us.

"Paris, Texas" is a movie about alienation and existential angst. Travis, in the red hat, reappears in his brother's life and then his child's and then his wife's life. Travis claims four years of amnesia as the cause of his disappearance, except the family is suspicious of where Travis has been for four years, everyone is suspicious ... he can't walk out ... the lyrics of this song make sense in reference to the movie.
