@BlueMaxx86 The gameplay is the same and they used voice clips from other LoK games. It's still great though, especially how well the models were ported, they look just how they did in Defiance(Kain even has his heart ripped out).

@nosdormu01 What's so funny about that? They have before, Raziel spared Kain when he had the chance to kill him with the Reaver and Kain pulled it out of Raziel's chest to save him. Also he often calls Raziel "friend" and Raziel eventually becomes the Soul Reaver's Soul, calling himself "as before" Kain's "right hand".

They definitely would work together - as before - and as they learn more of Moebius' and the Elder God's schemes, they become less mortal enemies and more the friends they were.

I remember one of the Tomb Raider Lara Croft games, in the beginning menu, it says if you would like to play a Legacy of Kain Demo or something. It was pretty cool :P Never played a Legacy of Kain though. Always wanted to but my Mom never let me :P

I bought the Guardian of Light just because of this DLC.

The best skin / costume pack for any game ever.

The voice overs are both a good and a "bad" thing:

+ They are funny as hell :D and they bring back some great memories

- It would have been nice to hear some new dialog

Also it's awesome how they made the cutscenes a little different (the opening atleast). I laughed at the opening the whole time :D

I'm italian and I played the italian version of Soul Reaver 1,2 and Defiance but I recognized the same phrases of old lok script, as you told!!

but I don't understood a thing:

there are the SAME audio files, I mean, there's a collage taken from old games or are the same phrase but "re-dubbed" for this game?

I hope that in Italy re-dub this little masterpiece, so tell me, my friend!!!

Well yes this audio files are from all the previous games, for example the "GOOD EVENING MY FRIEND" of kain is from BO2 when Kain meets a man who kain ask some information, the "VERY WELL YOU OLD SNAKE! of Raziel is from the intro of SR2 and he says it to Moebius, the complete dialog is "very well you old snake, if you prefered i use my bared hands..." you could check all this scrips from The lost wordls or dark chronicle. If u have troubles, ask me ;D

XDD yes!! that's why i LOVE RAZIEL! my beloved blue skinny hunk xDDD!! Well, I like more the original voices, because I grown up with them (I play LoK since when i was 10 years old ^^ now i'm 21) also the spanish actors who give them their voices, doesn't fit ANY of the personality of the characters, they NEVER could made an awesome job like mr. Bell or mr. Templeman, so i prefer the original voices and subtitle in different laguanges ^^

@LuigiMontanaro2 sadly, there are no new dialogue or redub by cast. What you can hear is probably an enhanced version of the old game's dialogues and that includes even some of the deleted dialogues from the games. I know because I just played this game, and I know all the lines from the game from the top of my hat. Srsly, not joking. Nevertheless, I think this DLC was a little experiment for the developers to find out, if the public wants a lok game. I hope they could atleast remake a game:)

I listened some phrases from SR2 and then from this DLC and the "voice act" is different, is not edited in studio...

.. maybe these phrases can be the "first take" but I don't think they archives all this stuff...

It's definitely Simon Templeman and Michael Bell,they're clips from the LoK series edited together and nothing more.

The clips have been enhanced, you only need to listen to some of the dialogue back in Blood Omen to hear that.

None of this dialogue is new, it's just recycled, sadly.

@jmpawloski It's downloadable content from PSN or whatever the equivalent for other platforms, just a few quid and worth every penny (there’s also Kain and Lynch skins but they have to give those away for free).

Consensus on Eidos forums is that they are indeed the Defiance models.
