If they just encountered each other on the field, I think Batman would win. If they actually planned to kill each other, I think that's Punisher's specialty. I like Punisher a lot more anyway. I hate this stupid 'dark and gritty crime drama' style of Batman - there's a limit to how serious you can be when you're running around in a bat suit throwing bat-shaped weapons at people.
@redskull256 Punisher has the same hand-to-hand combat skills as Batman does. They are both expertly trained in Martial Arts. That is hwy I hated the comic book where Batman just beat the crap out of Punisher without it even being a fight because it is totally inaccurate.
@gamefreak1000000 No offense but I wouldn't say they're the same. Batman is one of THE best fighters in the DC Universe. Kyle Rayner was trained by Batman, and in a fight without their power rings beat Sinestro, who had just claimed to have been trained by the best fighters in the universe.
The Punisher is no where near that good. Batman also knows every earthly martial art and several alien and mythic ones too. i.e Kryptonian and Amazonian. I'm sorry but I found the fight perfectly accurate.
@ItsJustMarty Yeah, but he has something that would screw Batman over; guns. He masters guns as well as Batman masters fighting. He can't disarm him as easily as all the other thugs because he is better equipped. In Batman Arkham City, guys with guns are Batman's weakness since they can kill him easily. I think that the fight would be fair if Batman didn't inject himself with that strength enhancing serum, because that is where he got his powers from pretty much.
@gamefreak1000000 That's the divergence. For some versions of Batman, guns require planning to get around. For others they're as useless against him as they are against Superman. In any case, Batman is still a better fighter, which is the only point I tried to prove. Batman can sneak past telepaths and Kryptonians with super-hearing. Why couldn't he do the same to Punisher? And for future reference Batman is a gun expert too, he just uses other, arguably more effective weapons.

He also doesn't have all the money in the world for fancy martial arts as well. I think however, that Punisher has enough strength and skills to take down Catwoman in CQB, which is pretty impressive because she does have some fighting skills of her own. Batman though, he simply gets out classed due to lack of special training.

However, that is impossible because the way he fights makes Chuck Norris look like a pussy. Good video. The only problem I have is a couple of grammatical errors. The actor has changed as opposed to change. That and the phrase "has been" is past and present tense in the same sentence.
I am a big Punisher fan, but the sad reality is that Punisher loses this fight. He lost to Bruce Wayne and even to Azrael in both crossovers. Punisher is well trained in Combat but he is nowhere near as good a fighter as Batman, Hell, Punisher can't even beat Daredevil in a fight and Daredevil got OWNED by Batman in a crossover comic. If given time to prepare then Punisher still loses because he won't kill a hero and Batman specializes in subduing his "victims". It won't be a quick fight though.
There is one key thing that would decide this. And that is the fact that Batman never tries to intentionally kill. But Punisher, on the other hand, doesn't give a shit whether you live or not. Besides, it only thakes one shell of buckshot in his muzzle to kill Batman.

I have been reading comics longer than you have been alive, so I actually know quite a lot about a shitload of Marvel and DC hereos/villians and yes I am a fan of the punisher. I am a fan of heaps of characters, including Batman. Using common sense and simulated tests, Punisher won 467 times out of 500 in Hand to hand combat vs Batman. Using CQC and death blows, Frank won all 500. Like I said, no chance.

@pun1978isher Actualy, The Comic was made by Dennis O´Neil, One of those who worked with Stan Lee and Jack Kirby on Marvel Masterworks: DareDevil Volume 2, and he also worked on X-Men Visionaries and one of the X-Men Classics, And Batman Comics, He is a master in what he does and all his comics are flawless including Lake of Fire. So i wouldn´t say he is like a DC Fanboy like you would.

Batman might be smarter in terms of pure IQ, as in he had the time and money to hump every which book he could, but he's not smarter in terms of what actually counts in a fight-combat tactics, warfare, etc. Btaman has the edge in cqc,
but like I said, this wouldn't matter, to "put" Frank down he'd have to kill him. Frank has the edge in everything else, from prep skills to on-the-spot improv, to resourcefulness, to tactics, pain tolerance, etc ect the list goes on and on.

He's outsmaretd and outfought (on the spot, with NO prep) Wolverine, DD, AND Spider-man, who had
actaully prepped and teamed up with the intention of bringing him in. He has beaten Wolverine more times than I care to count, both at hand-to-hand combat and in battles of wits. He has SHOT Spider-Man, yes he is that skilled with a gun to where he could predict Spider-Man would dodge with his own spider-sense and shot him, square in the chest. Hell Spidey has even admitted that at any time Frank could off him if he wanted to, Parker beign no match for his sheer skill and intelligence.
He has beaten Daredevil more times than he's beaten Wolverine, he can hold his own and even beat DD in h2h combat (DD is one of the top martial artists in the MU no doubt), and sure as hell has defeated him simply by outpreparing an outwitting him.

Batman would punish the Punisher. In terms of hand to hand fighting, they're about equal. Access to weapons is were Bats has a great advantage because he's a billionare who owns a corporation in weapons innovation. Bats also has genious level IQ so he's able to modify these weapons to his opponents.

Sentry doesn't have access to Torquasm Vo and Torquasm Rao, he doesn't have access to a heat vision that his more powerfull than the sun, he can't fly as fast as Superman (Superman flew 127 millions time faster than the speed of light), he cannot run as fast as Superman, he cannot turn his body intengible (Flash showed him that. Hulk is pretty weak. WWH is not. Sentry beat him. Bane, Joker, Poison Ivy, Darkseid, they're all dangerous not solely because of powers, but more so of their intellects. I always thought Batman had one of the most dangerous rogue galleries.
WWH is not so strong actually. He hasn't showed that much feats. Darkseid is dangerous because he is intelligent and because he possess the Omega power.
Comics are far away from being cartoons. The Omega Beam is one of the most dangerous ''weapon'' in the Universe. Almost everyone is afraid of it's effect. Only Superman and Wonder-Woman managed to survive to it (even if it doesn't kill).
In the cartoon it was taken very seriously...Batman was the the only one to "dodge" it, since it homes in. That wasn't the case in Final Crisis though.

I think its easier to relate to the punisher as a character. He was born in 1950 and had a decent childhood, never realy socialized and got into alot of fights with bullies. He saw somone killed when he was ten and married his wife Maria after he got her pregnant. Joined the marines, fought in vietnam for 6 years and when he was given time for medical leave, his familily was in the cross-fire of a mob shootout. He just seems more real thean bruce wayne, and is easier to relate to.
I think if batman used a gun, like a taser twelve , he would have the capacity to beat the punisher. However the punihser is more practical in his fighting, batman is more artisitic. The punisher wouldn't use a gun on batman though because he won't kil an innocent or somone who is a good person. Batman has more training and experience, and is bigger than the punihser. if it was life or death though, Castle is a killer and wouldn't hesitate to finish it, Wayne would, and then hey'd pay for it.

Thats where you can't use your brain. Batman speciality is stealth. The Punisher is just running in a fight. Batman has fought ennemies using guns all his life. Mr Freeze was using a gun that could freeze him. I don't see The Punisher beating Bane in a fight. Batman first rule is to never use a gun. He did cross that rule against Darkseid when he used the Radion bullet that killed Orion to defeat Darkseid. He was hit by the Omega Beat at the same time that he shot.

Batman fought and won a battle against her. Wolverine is total crap. Same for Daredevil and Spider-Man. Batman would knock out The Punisher before he even knows he's there.. stop being so bias.
You do know that they've had two crossovers of this fight, right? I have them both. And in the only one that they fought it WAS a tie. And saying Frank Castle wouldn't even know he was there is blatant fanboyism and a total underestimate of the character. I have no doubt that Batman could win, but there would certainly be a fight and Castle would certainly know he was there. It wouldn't be a sneak attack, it wouldn't be a catch-off guard, it wouldn't work like that.
I mean, at least, that's how I think it would go down. Frank's had his fair share of experience with ninjas...but I understand and respect your opinion because most ninjas aren't Bruce Wayne. And I also understand how Marvel's most legendary fighter might not compare to DC's. I've just got too much love for both characters...I mean, for having no powers, they're both the baddest of the bad. No argument there.
That's how I like fanboys. They never read different comics. Just so you know, Green Arrow has a ultimate weapon : The Phantom Arrow. That arrow send whoever is hit in the Phantom Zone, a zone that only Superboy Prime managed to escape. The Punisher would get his ass kicked by everyone who's in there (Zod, etc.) The Punisher is not even good. He's maybe a good user of weapons but he is far away from beating Green Arrow, Batman, Speedy, Nightwing, etc..

if you're a writer, and you want to sell comics, who do make win the fight? punisher, someone thats overlooked more than anyone in the entire comic universe, or batman: one of the most marketable characters in the entire comic franchise?
While Castle does have training in hand-to-hand (No push-over!) he has relatively little training in the area compared to Batman. It's changed some, from writer to writer... in one story arc from the mid eighties or so, Castle went toe-to-toe with Daredevil. But, if you read Garth Ennis' take on him, when he fought DD, his thoughts were "I haven't got a chance against him. Never do." (Vol 4, #9) While I know there's other factors to consider, just thought I'd toss that out there.
Yes, like I said, Bats has the edge in cqc. But you also have to take in Castle's almost inhuman resistance to pain...so I think Bats would be throwing punches and Castle would be ignoring them. So, I really think this battle would...well, be a tie. They are just too similiar in all other areas...same sheer intellect in a fight, same unbreakable will, same determination, uhhh the list goes on and on. I just really think this battle would end in a stalemate.
And he was more of a rank of recon not to mention he's also been in navy, army, and I don't know what special forces, well versed in demolitions and guerilla war, bat man will rush in not wanting the fight to last to long, which would be a mistake aginst someone like punisher. They are alot alike, but the difference between them is batmans a crime fighter were frank castle's a punisher.
I can relate to martial arts side of the two comming of thirteen years, there very similar with one difference, batman would do Agee puches alowing his opponent to return a few punches, and being from the military you should like I do you don't give any one that chance, frank puts you down, so that you can't retaliate, on a first meeting batman would pay for not taking him deadly serious.

The Punisher is no where near that good. Batman also knows every earthly martial art and several alien and mythic ones too. i.e Kryptonian and Amazonian. I'm sorry but I found the fight perfectly accurate.

He can't disarm him as easily as all the other thugs because he is better equipped. In Batman Arkham City, guys with guns are Batman's weakness since they can kill him easily. I think that the fight would be fair if Batman didn't inject himself with that strength enhancing serum, because that is where he got his powers from pretty much.

@gamefreak1000000 That's the divergence. For some versions of Batman, guns require planning to get around. For others they're as useless against him as they are against Superman. In any case, Batman is still a better fighter, which is the only point I tried to prove. Batman can sneak past telepaths and Kryptonians with super-hearing. Why couldn't he do the same to Punisher? And for future reference Batman is a gun expert too, he just uses other, arguably more effective weapons.

He also doesn't have all the money in the world for fancy martial arts as well. I think however, that Punisher has enough strength and skills to take down Catwoman in CQB, which is pretty impressive because she does have some fighting skills of her own. Batman though, he simply gets out classed due to lack of special training.

I am a big Punisher fan, but the sad reality is that Punisher loses this fight. He lost to Bruce Wayne and even to Azrael in both crossovers. Punisher is well trained in Combat but he is nowhere near as good a fighter as Batman, Hell, Punisher can't even beat Daredevil in a fight and Daredevil got OWNED by Batman in a crossover comic. If given time to prepare then Punisher still loses because he won't kill a hero and Batman specializes in subduing his "victims". It won't be a quick fight though.

Batman = Endless money pit for advanced but non-lethal gadgets to aid him. Virtually the same Kevlar armour as used by Punisher. Equally fit & almost AS good in CQC, Batman simply does not have the pain tolerance or endurance as Pun. Wayne Enterprises has their tech expert, equally as Pun has micro, the diff is money & workforce. Bat uses an array of gadgets & vehicles the difference being lethal vs true effectiveness. One doesn't hold back, the other can't stop holding back.

Punisher = Highly decorated war hero 30yrs exp. Has trained Navy seals, Para, Berets etc. An expert with all known & foreign weopons, Highy skilled in CQC, all blades & Hand to hd combat. Demolitions, Espionage,stealth, extremely calculating and Strategic the list goes on & on, But most importantly has an unbelievalbe High pain threshold to withstand torture, combat wounds or interrogation. As much as I am a fan of Batman as well, he simply doesn't have a chance against the Punisher.

@nusucker For more than 20 years and still going now, my father owns a massive comic shop. I have been reading comics longer than you have been alive, so I actually know quite a lot about a shitload of Marvel and DC hereos/villians and yes I am a fan of the punisher. I am a fan of heaps of characters, including Batman. Using common sense and simulated tests, Punisher won 467 times out of 500 in Hand to hand combat vs Batman. Using CQC and death blows, Frank won all 500. Like I said, no chance.

@pun1978isher Actualy, The Comic was made by Dennis O´Neil, One of those who worked with Stan Lee and Jack Kirby on Marvel Masterworks: DareDevil Volume 2, and he also worked on X-Men Visionaries and one of the X-Men Classics, And Batman Comics, He is a master in what he does and all his comics are flawless including Lake of Fire. So i wouldn´t say he is like a DC Fanboy like you would.

ACTUAL combat/tactics experience, in the field, in Vietnam, fighting against enemies that will do anything to try and kill you before you killed them, not years and years of self-regiminted training that Batman has, training that he paid for did on HIS OWN TIME. Batman would punish the Punisher. In terms of hand to hand fighting, they're about equal. Access to weapons is were Bats has a great advantage because he's a billionare who owns a corporation in weapons innovation. Bats also has genious level IQ so he's able to modify these weapons to his opponents.

Sentry doesn't have access to Torquasm Vo and Torquasm Rao, he doesn't have access to a heat vision that his more powerfull than the sun, he can't fly as fast as Superman (Superman flew 127 millions time faster than the speed of light), he cannot run as fast as Superman, he cannot turn his body intengible (Flash showed him that. Punches and other stuff are just going throught him).

Comics are far away from being cartoons. The Omega Beam is one of the most dangerous ''weapon'' in the Universe. Almost everyone is afraid of it's effect. Only Superman and Wonder-Woman managed to survive to it (even if it doesn't kill).

I think its easier to relate to the punisher as a character. He was born in 1950 and had a decent childhood, never realy socialized and got into alot of fights with bullies. He saw somone killed when he was ten and married his wife Maria after he got her pregnant. Joined the marines, fought in vietnam for 6 years and when he was given time for medical leave, his familily was in the cross-fire of a mob shootout. He just seems more real thean bruce wayne, and is easier to relate to.

I think if batman used a gun, like a taser twelve , he would have the capacity to beat the punisher. However the punihser is more practical in his fighting, batman is more artisitic. The punisher wouldn't use a gun on batman though because he won't kil an innocent or somone who is a good person. Batman has more training and experience, and is bigger than the punihser. if it was life or death though, Castle is a killer and wouldn't hesitate to finish it, Wayne would, and then hey'd pay for it.

Thats where you can't use your brain. Batman speciality is stealth. The Punisher is just running in a fight. Batman has fought ennemies using guns all his life. Mr Freeze was using a gun that could freeze him. I don't see The Punisher beating Bane in a fight. Batman first rule is to never use a gun. He did cross that rule against Darkseid when he used the Radion bullet that killed Orion to defeat Darkseid. He was hit by the Omega Beat at the same time that he shot.

Look, in term of martial arts and skills, Batman wins against ANYBODY. Using weapons against Batman won't work since Batman (I don't know in which comic) made himself an armor able to resist against any kind of bullets. He's even way too fast for The Punisher to see him. He has been able to hit Wonder Woman (friend fight) a couple of time, same for Superman. I don't see The Punisher being able to take some hit against Wonder Woman... Black ops... I don't give a shit. Batman is a brainiac.

You do know that they've had two crossovers of this fight, right? I have them both. And in the only one that they fought it WAS a tie. And saying Frank Castle wouldn't even know he was there is blatant fanboyism and a total underestimate of the character. I have no doubt that Batman could win, but there would certainly be a fight and Castle would certainly know he was there. It wouldn't be a sneak attack, it wouldn't be a catch-off guard, it wouldn't work like that.

That's how I like fanboys. They never read different comics. Just so you know, Green Arrow has a ultimate weapon : The Phantom Arrow. That arrow send whoever is hit in the Phantom Zone, a zone that only Superboy Prime managed to escape. The Punisher would get his ass kicked by everyone who's in there (Zod, etc.) The Punisher is not even good. He's maybe a good user of weapons but he is far away from beating Green Arrow, Batman, Speedy, Nightwing, etc..

While Castle does have training in hand-to-hand (No push-over!) he has relatively little training in the area compared to Batman. It's changed some, from writer to writer... in one story arc from the mid eighties or so, Castle went toe-to-toe with Daredevil. But, if you read Garth Ennis' take on him, when he fought DD, his thoughts were "I haven't got a chance against him. Never do." (Vol 4, #9) While I know there's other factors to consider, just thought I'd toss that out there.

Yes, like I said, Bats has the edge in cqc. But you also have to take in Castle's almost inhuman resistance to pain...so I think Bats would be throwing punches and Castle would be ignoring them. So, I really think this battle would...well, be a tie. They are just too similiar in all other areas...same sheer intellect in a fight, same unbreakable will, same determination, uhhh the list goes on and on. I just really think this battle would end in a stalemate.

I can relate to martial arts side of the two comming of thirteen years, there very similar with one difference, batman would do Agee puches alowing his opponent to return a few punches, and being from the military you should like I do you don't give any one that chance, frank puts you down, so that you can't retaliate, on a first meeting batman would pay for not taking him deadly serious.
