@raptorsfan923 There is nothing wrong with doing a bench press... but there are plenty of alternative exercises to strengthen the same muscle groups. You can use DBs, tubing/bands, bodyweigth, machines, etc. We try to incorporate as much variety as possible... hence the reason we don't bench every workout or every week. Make sense?
@artixX9 Thanks for your kind words and support, I appreciate your message. Although there is no "right" answer... it is totally your preference... I would recommend shooting first and lifting afterwards.
@cooliekidd23 Thanks for your message and checking out our videos. These last two videos were done to show a menu of exercises... not to elaborate on sets/reps. These videos are not actual workouts (you wouldn't do all of these exercises in one workout). If you are looking for a program with actual sets/reps, we sell several in our online shop!
@maxypooh15 There are portions of the cross-fit philosophy I really like and use in my workouts... but the overall program does not meet the specific needs of basketball players...
@StrongerTeamDotCom I thought it is pretty good for basketball since almost all of the exercises require full body movement instead of isolating one muscle group. It also is really good for conditioning. Since ive been doing it (a month), i dont really get tired in games and i can run alot longer and am faster. Why do u think it does not meet the specific needs of basketball players? Is it because we dont bench and do all the other bodybuilding standards?
@maxypooh15 I agree with you as far full body exercises, limited rest, etc. However, most cross-fit type programs do NOT do direct work for the ankles/feet or groin... two vitally important areas for basketball players. For the record, I rarely have my players do the bench press nor do we follow ANY "bodybuilding standards." I am not knocking cross-fit type programs, I just don't think they meet ALL of the needs of a basketball player!
What shoes are you wearing in this video? They're tight!

After reading these comments, I notice you said you rarely have your players do bench press. Why shouldn't basketball players do bench press?
