  • who else thinks english muffins are nuts ! there fn good as fuck

  • Thank you for the videos Sir.

  • Tired of fake spiritual enlightenment information?Feel like there is a lot more?psychic abilities and powers, it is all possible.Go to THE-HIDDEN-SPIRITdotCOM , your search is finally over.

  • Very helpful! Thank you!

  • @MichaelPDA They don't believe in the pursuit of wealth, thinking it'll cause suffering.

  • @bladesypher No that's not true. The Dhammapada says:

"Who have not led the holy life

    nor riches won while young,

they linger on as aged cranes

    around a fished-out pond."

Pursuing wealth is fine. But there are higher things to pursue. It is subtle. Those who do pursue wealth shouldn't be too greedy about it and should still be generous and restrained, then they can still have a good rebirth.

  • my life is in chaos right now i really find your videos very helping and look at everything with an open mind

  • "When a superior man hears of the Tao,

he immediately begins to embody it.

When an average man hears of the Tao,

he half believes it, half doubts it.

When a foolish man hears of the Tao,

    he laughs out loud.

    If he didn't laugh,

    it wouldn't be the Tao."

  • I was taught Christianity from a young child and my whole family and everyone I know believes it but it doesn't give me the fulfillment I need. Its more of people with strong opinions shoving them down my throat. I now consider myself agnostic which defines my curiosity and hopefulness to find something that explains my existence and makes me feel complete. As I learn more of Buddhism I am starting to feel this sense of fulfillment but I don't have others around me that concur

  • @CandiT21, I'm exactly the same. I've had Catholicism forced down my throat from a young age, but I don't believe in an abrahamic god for even a moment. Buddhism makes more sense to me, though I don't agree with some of the things they believe.

  • @CandiT21

    I concur.

  • @CandiT21 --Check out "meetup.com." It is a social networking site where you can choose from many interest groups that are in your area. You may be able to find some groups that share your interest/similar views with regards to Buddhism. I started going to a Buddhist center in the city and it was exactly what I needed...to surround myself with like-minded people who are fully accepting of you as you are, friendly and knowledgeable. All the best to you.

  • @CandiT21 i agree this is exactly how my past and present is... remember Buddhism (Buddha) really means Awakened...

  • 2:00 - 2.:25 So true. I know that by practice

  • The bird was Lord Buddha asking the faithful to listen. I am blown away by the bird's message.

  • Buddhism seems to me to be the best spiritual representation of a feeling everybody has at some point, some more than other I grant you, "Just chill out, relax, and take your time.." the eightfold path really speaks to me, as do these videos, Thanks very much for the advice (Y).

  • That bird in the background really has a sassy spirit makes me smile :-)!

  • ...so being asked to stop and go for relax and take things easy as much as possible, a few months later, slowly try to understand the basic of what the Buddha's teachings, from the laymen teachers, up to teacher from Thailand, and very well done indeed and of course very hard to find .....try to take it easy and make it simple as much as possible....and then you'll come to know......may all of you be happy and well being..

  • well like to shared the experience that I had, regarding the meditation, while having the problems like work place, stress, family and financials problem during beginners try to meditates in one of the temples, all sorts of problems crop up, like the tensions and fears arise; then stopped; highlighted to my laymen firmly upkeep 5 preceptors as well as meditators being many years following the teacher locally and as well as overseas like thailand and sri lanka, and told me not to continue.....

  • hi impermanentoo, regarding the 5 precepts it's very important , thanks. on the other hand, generosity also important too. And what I had learnt 5 precepts try to keep firmly and generosity is the foundation to support to our meditation. and furthermore must have correct teacher to guide us and before go further, must try to understand the teachings of the Lord Buddha.

  • i have trouble meditating most of the time, will i be able to get over it dhammatude?

  • Keep you 5 precepts ( the purer the better)

    1) Abstain from killing Living Beings

    2) Abstain from Stealing

    3) Abstain from Sexual misconduct (except for married couple)

    4) Abstain from Lying

    5) Abstain from Intoxicating Drinks and Drugs

    In Speech, Thoughts and Actions.

  • I seem perfectly calm and stable minded despite indulging in several of those :3

  • kinabear Stable minded is not good enough for a meditator. A meditator work hard for 4th level of jhana. A state where our mind is one-pointedness.

With this state of mind we can penetrate the truth and heal ourselves mentally and physically.

Stable mind will not be able to withstand the test we talk about as a meditator. On top of that, not able to achieve enlightenment.

Stable mind is fine for a lay person, no doubt about it

  • o.O Four level of what? You sound like your talking about a roleplaying game or something. You just sound seriously silly :3

You talk about 'Truth' And 'healing' If anyone it seems like you need to learn to enjoy life instead of pretending your on a higher level than everyone else just because you dont beat your meat.

  • ignorance at it the highest level! makes me laugh. thanks!

  • ignorance? :S its like the opposite

  • then go and laugh

  • well i can't get away from the weed

  • Be persistent and do not give up. It takes time. Increase the sitting time gradually.

Almost all of us went through what you're going through initially. Watch more meditation video and read up more about meditation. It takes months for one to settle down sometimes

  • thanks for the advise

  • well I've been there lol
