Come on, KDE as a Good UI but damn, when I tried it, it lacked from the keyboard layout I needed. While in Gnome I have it and it is simple to configure. Also, I don't know why SCIM was always starting no matter what I was doing to make it stop. Customization side, I consider it not mature at all.

I think I'd find that annoying after a while... but I still like it; you can always "Lock widgets"

kde 4.x is not as costomisable as previous versions but it looks damn good!
