  • @PublicHD Yes. Using a VGA to HDMI converter will give a sharper picture, but if you're only using it for karaoke graphics it won't make a huge difference.

  • hi. is it possible to connect PC to TV with HDMI - Scart? I mean computer has a HDMI out and TV has Scart.

  • @DNSF1 Hi - not directly, no. SCART only carries analogue signals, HDMI is a digital signal. You will need a HDMI to analogue converter. There are quite a few models, just google for them.

  • thanks for the review

  • My laptop only has a VGA port (no HDMI) and my TV has a HDMI port, a Scart port, and the coloured scart ports (no VGA). Im trying to watch my laptop screen on my TV (Im not worried about the sound, thats sorted). I bought I VGA to HDMI cable but it didnt work, appartently I need a digital converter. Could you give me some advice on how to solve my problem. I dont mind connecting through HDMI or scart on my TV, I just want the cheapest method.

    Hope you can help, thanks

  • @samringrose Hi ... cheapest method is to use the converter in the video but you'll only get SVHS or Composite video - quite low quality compared to VGA or HDMI. If you want quality then you will need a VGA to HDMI converter. Or buy a TV with VGA input, or buy a laptop with HDMI output.

  • @valewaytechnology Where did you buy this converter from ?

  • @MrE3stw00d In the UK - from pcdj dot co dot uk - google "pcdj uk", it's in the shop section under "accessories"

  • what if i cut vga cable and connect to old Composite Video and Stereo Audio by hands saving money.

  • @dhruvilshah30 Yeah, good luck with that. At the very least you'll ruin your VGA cable. At worst you'll enjoy the wonderful smell of burning.

If it was that easy why would this converter need to exist?

  • i have a big tv and and a computer from 1998 and i want to play my games on my tv would this work and if not what others would you recommend? plz help

  • @rougejedi5 If your computer has VGA output then this converter will work for you.

  • That converter sucks, i bought it and it was not able to work on my laptop.

  • @morenaso1 You didn't buy it from me ... must be a faulty one buddy, we've shipped over 1,000 of them in 5 years and only had three faulty units in that time. Get it exchanged from wherever you bought it.

  • Ugh I need to buy this from a USA website. Helppp

  • Google for "grand view tv converter" you should find it on sale in the US

  • hi there, my tv has the old fashion red, white, yellow ports. will this converter allow me to use my tv as a monitor?

  • Yes, but a TV using composite video (yellow port) will have a VERY low resolution, you'll strain to make out details. OK for viewing videos though.

  • It will work with any computer using VGA output as no drivers or software are involved. It's just a hardware converter so yes, it will work with a Macbook if it's got VGA out.

  • @valewaytechnology Do you have any tearing or choppyness issues with this? tried my version 2(not 3 as you have) on 4 different tvs and its fine for browsing but watch a video or play a game and it jumps instead of being smooth

  • No issues or problems at all and our customers are using them for video playback all the time.

  • will this work with a mac book?

  • Works with any device with a VGA output and a spare USB port for power.

  • does this accept pal-60(uk) inputs as i want to put my xbox 360 into the input then record with a dazzle using the yellow output.please reply.thanx

  • mine haves s video and hd and vga and its new laptop

  • Could you post a link to some where in the UK I can buy 1 of these please... =]

  • Actually I just Googled the make and model and found one! Cheers for posting the vid though... =]

  • do the latest desktops have svhs or composite in the back of them?

  • Sorry about the abrupt ending, had to edit it that way to cut out some external loud noises.

  • Not sure if Wal-Mart stock them buddy, we're in the UK here. Easy to buy online but make sure you get the powered version like this one.

  • I don't know what happened at the end.. But im going to goto wal-mart and check this out... Since im taking my dog for a walk.. Thanks man.. 4 Stars.
