I got sorted into Hufflepuff on Pottermore even though I've always been a Slytherin fan and what not. I can see the Hufflepuff in me though, it doesn't surprise me and I think most people probably have traits of more than one house. So not getting sorted into Hufflepuff doesn't mean that you don't still relate to the house.
I think almost everyone have a bit of every house in them, just be cause You or The Hat appreciate you bravery doesn't mean you don't have a high mountain of cleverness inside of you. Just be course you didn't get in to Hufflepuff doesn't mean you are some one els than you thought, it doesn't make you less friendly and thoughtful, neither does the fact that you didn't get in to Ravenclaw make you less intelligent, you just have something more inside of you.
I love you more!!! I was totally in Gryffindor denial. I am so worried that I wont be in Gryffindor. I don't know what I'd do! I have a lot of Huffelpuff in me but dear lord. I'm a Gryffindor!
The other thing is people are sorted "wrong." Neville was almost a Hufflepuff, Hermione almost Ravenclaw, and Harry almost Slytherin. That doesn't mean that they would have been different people if they hadn't been in Gryffindor. People change and grow. Even Dumbledore admitted sometimes he thinks Hogwarts sorts too soon. But even so, your HOUSE doesn't really define you as a person so much as you define your HOUSE. :)
@CodedLockFilms I agree with that. The sorting hat DOES take your choice into account. I don't I'd stop loving Hufflepuff if I ended up in Gryffindor. But since JK Rowling is kind of the official sorting hat.... it makes one a little nervous...

@brunett93 Yeah, I got into Gryffindor. But I think that might have been because I answered one of the questions wrong. :p

Maybe you'll all wind up in a different house, but you'll still be in four different houses. Now, wouldn't that be interesting. =)
Very well said, Miss Heidi, and it's nice to see a video from you again.

Personally, I think that you decide who you are, not a website. As they say in The Iron Giant, you are who you choose to be.
