Where can i buy the screws alone for the neck?

Fantastic man, really! Thanks for all this.. I just wanted to ask a little noob question.. Which exact wire should i buy for ground wire that goes to the spring claw ? Thanks in advance!

@uxakv Any shielded copper wire will work, I prefer stranded wire but others use solid.

Fantastic videos. Thank you so much. You were meticulous, but I noticed you did not shield the pick or control cavities. Does shielding a guitar really help to reduce hum and improve tone??

I think it's a marketing gimmick to sell copper tape and or shielding paint....

@bkerwood42 You are correct. The customer didn't really want to pay for a shielding job and I usually don't try and talk people into it. Shielding CAN reduce certain types of noise on some guitars in some situations, that much is true. It's a personal preference, and a real PITA type of job. The copper foil is time consuming and tedious to install properly and the shielding paint can be rather messy if you're not careful. I do whatever the customer wants though, it's their guitar and money.

HI I have a brand new gibson sg and recently my strap broke and it fell headstock first to the ground. the only damage done was the fretboard slightly seperated itself for the neck. its only a slight crack but it worries me. what do you recomened i do.

@gome5000 Two things: 1. Take the guitar to a professional repair tech for an assessment. It might be fine, but it's also possible that it might require a little TLC with some thing superglue to keep the separation from growing. 2. Invest in a good set of strap locks :-) Good luck.

@smbstressfest , read the warmoth instructions, you have to slide the neck easy from the top of body s pocket.

@jeanagi I'm still not 100% sure that I understand you. Are you saying that the neck should be installed by starting at the top of the pocket and sliding it lengthwise towards the bridge in the pocket?

The neck heel itself and the pocket that's routed in the body are tapered, something will break if someone tries to install a neck this way.

@smbstressfest Hi yeah this is what jeanagi means, that it suggests installing the neck sliding from the top down to the bottom of the pocket, stead of slotting it in like you did,

However i do get what you mean about more likely to break something due to the contoured heel,

On my bass i slid it from the top, but i can see what you mean for a contoured heel.

The neck looks tinted and glossed. Did Warmoth finish that neck? I have an oil based poly satin neck with ebony board and was wondering how to maintain this finish? Is there anything i can put on it to make it a little more slick on the back? Some people claim that satin is a faster neck. All my past guitars have had gloss. P.S. Nice attention to detail.

@Semimentalman2 Guitar's owner here. You're right, that would look hot. I was going for the "blackguard" look of the early 50's, but the tort would be a nice complement to the rather plain finish.

I might look at that in the future! :-)

Why didn't use lubricant on the neck screws like on the other ones?

Because I had already tapped and pre-lubed the neck screw holes (back in video 9 in this series).
