exactly. That's why you do it, so you can warp it yourself. Ableton's auto warp isn't gonna be precise anyways. I highly recommend warping yourself if you want to remix.
You are fairly pretty, thanks for your movie. it's unfortunate im living in Martha Lake because i can't end up getting great makeup, nevertheless i get hold of zero cost trials from "Gratis Makeup Samples". i love MAC makeup!
Realy good vid you'v done, helpt me a bit on the way but i still cant understand what your doing betwen those 10 min, and it sems like I have another version of Live( I'v got Lite 8) becouse I dont seem to find that thing you pull in the Overwiev. Exactly what have you done?
I think u should download a DJ program for finding the BPM, like VirtualDJ then u just drag ur song in there and the program shows u the bpm. U should put the one with the beat tho:P if u only do the accapelle im not sure if it works or not. but i recommend it:) nice vid:):)
do you think it would be more easy if you analyze the bpm of the original track, and than just drag the original track to a new audio track with the original bpm, and i think you can see from the wave of the track where the acapella start.maybe im wrong but that is i would do.
impressive instructions - cheers, have any of you tried L'Oreals latest range of products?! it is hard to obtain makeup in Rosa but you can obtain some amazing cosmetic samples by going to "GratisMakeupSamples"! their cool!
awesome vid man. made alot of sense and got a good link out of it. where do you find your samples from though? like the 1940's type song you threw in under and then said that sucks.

30 accapellas in 30 days*** and the website does a horrrrrible job of keeping track... ive download probably tenin the last week.... and when i go to download more it says "you still have 30 downloads remaining this month" ha yaya for free accapellas
Hey broski. Cool tutorial. Should look into some acoustic foam I can hear echo in right ear. To the left of you in your room there must be a wall or corridor, but you can hear it.
mixmeister has a free bpm counter for all mp3's it is really helpful and fast! great tutorial!!!! make some more hot sampled beat tutorials man!!! lol
why is it everytime i bring a track into Live the quality of the track goes down.. therefor after rendering it the quality is worse then b4. what am i missing? what do you to to the master to get the sound quality proper again???
I followed your directions and it worked pretty good. (see my video response) Have you worked with the "warp from here" command, that also seems to help getting things lined up. I also brought in the orginal video via a .mov (ableton only supports .mov in Live 7), that was harder to get in sync - I think you can set it as a master to make it easier, but that seems like it would mess up the audio - anyways, your help is appreciated and thanks for the acapella4u hook up. - Peace B
you need the instrumental and the original, put them on two different tracks, then nudge the instrumental (or the acappella over till the tracks are out of faze. magically all that will be left is the acappella because the track will cancel itself out
acapellaarchives on blogspot also has random acapellas (lots of underground rap). not sure if you've been there yet. the youtube user instrumentalsandmore also has a lot of random instrumentals and acapellas for download. hope this helps!
hey spaz, after some trial and error i use a little bit of your method with how i normally do it. i start with the metronome to get a a rough adjustment of the acapella then i tweak even more against the actual instrumental im using. got something i made recently as a video response. glad to see you're posting new vids again!
also, once you open that new file in Recycle, if you get a BPM like 96.028, then 99 times out of 100, the original tempo is going to be 96.000. Producers (usually) dont work in outside of the first tenth in BPM's - we like clean looking numbers. occasionally you will get a track that is like 110.5, or 98.4 but not often. peace.
hey yo b you know you can determine the original song's tempo to the exact very simply. it is a lot easier than using the tap tempo and then tweaking the whole acapella.
open up the original song in a wav editor
grab a 4 bar loop, starting on the one, copy and paste to a new file - save.
open that new file in Recycle, change the bar count to 4: boo ya: Recycle will tell you the BPM
nice 1 bro.. i like the way you simplify ableton.. my only gripe *im from the UK lol*.. is , when your editing.. you rush through the procedure.. it would be helpful.. if you zoomed in more.. so us simpletons can see in realtime all the controls your using.. peace
The simple way to get accapellas out of the originals is to find the instrumental, layer it with the original and invert the instrumental. The reverse waves cancel out the instruments in the original.
Thanks for the tutorial. I have the keys of all my songs from DJing, but how do you see if the key changes when you play around with the tracks? How do you make the keys match up? Thanks
Nice dude! I just bought the PadKontrol which is an awesome midi controller by the way.. and when tried to install the bundled Abelton Live Lite 6 software that came with it -it rejected the serial number that was on the back of the CD ...does anyone out there have a working serial they could spare or know where to get one??? thanks i'd really appreciate it...
Yep, remix is where you're making your own music on top of an acapella. mashup is where you're taking 2 songs, usually one instrumental and then one acapella and MASHING thing together.
velly good.....how laid back r u! another part of the puzzle falls into place.thank you......sometimes i think ableton could do with a second sample editor to be displayed?
Please tell me how must be warped a track with different tempo; Let's say, it's started with 116, and then change to 130 bpm...and after that, how ableton will play it if it has to sync with the master tempo?
