lol i remember when i was a beginner and i could never learn a song i wanted to because it had a bar chord in it.... then one day there was a song i REALLY wanted to learn so i stayed up all night learning how to do the bar chord. Then i learned it. Trick is: it's really ALL in your wrist for the bar chords.

easy F chord-drop fingers on the C chord down a string, then bar the first and second strings with your first finger. Flows really well to and from a C. You'll know it's right when your fingers hit the same frets as F chord, minus the full bar and middle finger.

@dinosaursgorawrish no its just cuz its hard to do. it takes a lot of practice to figure it out. A hint though, if you play the song slowly its harder to get teh nail strum right, if you play it at speed you will notice that you naturally use the right nail strum.

@H34ted He means that instead using the C-note(3rd fret on the A-string) as the bass-note of the C Chord use a B-note instead(2nd fret on the A-string). So, 2 instead of a 3 on the A-string.

Hey, this is really close, but do you know the trick he does for the alternating bass in the verse. The intro/chorus is super close except there's extra bass notes where you're just letting them ring. Love it if you know the rest, but if that's just how you play it that's totally cool too.

@Adamictico Yes you're right the verse has alternating bass notes on the first two chords in a country style. The C is actually a C/G (alternating bass notes C to G) and for the Am (alternating bass notes open A and open E) This song sounds much easier to play than it is IMHO. Thanks Scott for the lesson.
