I shall look on ebay for a violin great as yours I keep looking at wonderful violins and it makes me wish I could have one, mine is okay but I used a Great/ Wonderful handmade violin and I loved it but I had to give it back and I miss the rich sound and I'll never forget that violin. :')
all i have to say is imagine that instrument with gut strings on it. The richness of an instrument with gut strings increases due to type of string. sadly all i ahev for my instrument is a single d gut string but it is really rich.
I am surprised to discover this well balanced tone from a Smith's old age violin. It sounds strong and dark at the low, sweet and bright at the higher notes. I would love to hear this played in the Barbican Hall! Perhaps a Strad made at the latest years could be more powerful than other stages.
rich tone accompanied bach! thanks for a very lovely performance on a famous smith! Smith born in Essex of England in 1880 and later immigrate to Australia.
not bad at all - bravo!!!
