  • I must admit having gone through the selection form the NASA people I do wonder HTF they missed Dio's - Rainbow in the Dark and Man on a silver mountain, but hey wegot here in the end and it enabled communication to begin, you can see our response on facebook @ utaziah federation page, or wikipedia - U.F.O.I.G.P. and decide for yourselves what you think to our response ;)

  • Hopefully the aliens will build a time machine, come back to 1977 and kill both Ronald Reagan and GW Bush. Word.

  • Hyperseauton will never be remembered. This music however will float through space for millenia to come. Do not listen to his short-sighted and racist comments, they will be forgotten and obsolete. There is no place for ideas like those in the future.

  • Maybe they will not hear anything because they only hear the sounds of a different frequencies than the human ear ;-)

  • aliens are gonna think we're weird man :( i hope they forgot to put an LP player in the voyager

  • @MakeSensePlz We are "weird" man..

  • Wow bangga saya, hahaha

  • give the aliens any kind of music, even terrible sounds. but dont let them read the youtube-comments. or we're fucked.

  • @JuMiNi i legitimately just said that on the last video in the playlist! i cant believe it, i wish there was some way of proving this but i imagine you dont believe me < anyway i know what you mean lol : )

  • @mrmalade You couldnt compose something half this good if you tried for the rest of your life. One has to be open to the music of other cultures, not blatantly criticize it for being different. Additionally, your comment makes little sense...how do your two statements relate whatsoever? Are you implying that hippies like music that "sounds fucking horrible"?

  • I love gamelan!

  • Play this in a dark candle-lit room and burn some incense.. whoa

  • Sweet, sweet music. I can now see why Debussy was so inspired by music of this vein at the 1889 Expo.

  • Apart from any notions of representing a cross-section of humanity, this music is actually quite good on strictly aesthetic grounds.

  • @hyperseauton Well the first ambassator to space is Hitler at the Brandenburg rally as that broadcast was the first strong enough to get into deep space. That should make you happy bonehead.

  • @Nomiko222 I can't believe I overlooked that point in my own comment. Well said.

  • @MegaratZ I think he's kidding. Nobody that dumb is terribly likely to be listening to the Voager Golden Record to begin with.

  • @hyperseauton There is nothing savage about this music, and the people who produced it are, manifestly, more psychlogiclly sophisticated than you by some distance.

Not that it's likely to molify you, but Sagan also included a recording of Bach's Brandenburg concerto no.2. It that sufficiently white for you?

  • @polymath7 *Is

  • @hyperseauton Ever consider that most "White" American music is Black African in origin? Tap, Jazz, Blues, Soul, Rock, Reggae, Hip-Hop, Rap..Had Sagan et al followed your suggestion and loaded the record with "American" music, Africa would be humanity's ambassador to the stars.

  • @Hottides Never mind origins; certainly *the best* of Amercian music (Coltrane, Louis Armstrong, Duke Eliington, Bud Powell, Charlie Parker) was (entirely inicidentally) created by blacks. Jazz is surely the only twentieth American music that will sustain aesthetic comparison with the works of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart Schubert...

Apologies to Charles Ives and George Gershwin.

  • @polymath7 edit: Meant to omit "twentieth"

  • @hyperseauton lol, epic troll :)

  • @hyperseauton you are a retard

  • @hyperseauton

I do hope you were kidding.

  • Meh, needs more bach tbh

  • Sad really the stupidity of some people.

  • beeeeeeeeeep!

vega we are looking for intelligent life near the sun....

    beeep! not found...

  • Ti ringrazio per questo lavoro, molto utile, di pubblicazione e archiviazione dei brani del Golden Record, bravissimo!

  • thank you so much for putting all these in one place, really saved me some time!

  • Javanese gamelan music performed by the court gamelan of Pura Paku Alaman, Yogyakarta, Java, Indonesia, directed by K. R. T. Wasitodipuro (now K. P. H. Natoprojo), recorded by Robert E. Brown.

  • Thanks, i was about to go through the process of searching for each song on the golden record myself, but it seems you have uploaded them all yourself.
