@IndianaMatt07 He was running the correct way. However, in Rugby, you must have pressure on the ball and touch it to the ground to score points. He dropped the ball forward before he put it down, therefore it is a penalty called a "knock on"; where you drop the ball forward. This means that after all his running and scrambling, he messed up and didn't get the points because he dropped the ball.

@kikojab1 No you donn't know. You clearly don't know the rules of Rugby. In Rugby to score a try, you have to "ground" the ball in a controlled manner, with one hand or both. Dropping the ball in the try area like in the video is counted as a drop, he did not touch the ball down with control, he dropped it. Possession of the ball will be over turned to the opponents team for a 5 meter scrum.

@kikojab1 mate, in rugby the ball must be placed on the try line or in the dead ball area (area between the try line and the dead ball line) if the ball is dropped when in the process of being placed it is a "knock on" therefore a scrum is given to the other team 5 metres out, if the ball is dropped forward anywhere on the rugby pitch its a scrum to the other team. the limits mean little

Snd any way if u were behind the player when he passed it and ran onto it that would be a forward pass.if the player is already infront that is now deemed offside due to the new rules. if you throw it forward to your self and catch it nothing happens and if it hits the ground whilst dropped thrown anything its a knock-on.
