Xemnas is Ansem's nobody. Ansem (KH final boss) is Terra and Xehanort combined it's just what he called himself at that point as he had no memories from before. Xemnas (KH 2 final boss) is the Nobody of Ansem Seeker of Darkness (KH final boss's full name/title).

On the inside Terra tries to send himself and Xehanort to the realm of Darkness but Aqua saves him for the cost of herself. With amnesia the Terra-Xehanort becomes Ansem's pupil and became the Xehanort we all know and hate in Kingdom Hearts 1.

@audrey04vip Did you play BBS? If not it is explained there. Anyway, Master Xehanort needed a new body to use the darkness and Terra's was a candidate. In the end MX put his heart inside Terra's body and so MX and Terra had a conflict over the body. Terra's heart was shoved aside and MX basically took over but lost all his memories.

@madman13542 No, actually, Roxas is still Sora's nobody, but because Sora has a piece of Ventus' heart inside of him, that's why Roxas looks like him. You have to turn into a heartless to gain a nobody, and Ventus never turned into one, nor was roxas alive when Ventus was. Plus, in Kingdom hearts 2, it says throughout the whole thing that Roxas is Sora's nobody.
