@Batman8657 You can :D Flynn has a nice calm voice :) he's in one of his dads 2009 ( I think that's the year ) interviews with a girl named Max. lol He seems like a friendly person, I wanna meet James's whole family :) yes that includes his son lol
James Earl Jones just did a much higher jump up my list of favorite actors than he already was and that was pretty HIGH to start! What an incredibly elegant, eloquent and super intelligent man. He puts it out there better than anyone I've ever heard. HE gets it. He's paid attention and understood. Bless him, I hope we have many more great years of work from him.
Nice to see that he doesn´t succumb to the one-drop rule that so many Americans blindly believe in. Really cool guy for sure and finally somebody who´s voice is about as deep as mine haha! : )
Plus King Jaffe Joffer in "Coming to America", his portrayals of Rev. Vernon Johns in "The Road to Freedom", and Alex Haley in "Roots: The Next Generation". :)
"In my family background three different races....so I have no call to be bigoted about anything therefore it has released me of being bonded to anybody. I'm not bonded to being black I don't have to act out being black. I TRY ACT OUT BEING WHO I FEEL I AM."
Pity more people don't have a similar mental acceptance of being who they are instead of limiting themselves to the mindset of what is 'black' or what is 'white' instead of just being themselves.
he is an awesome guy. i never knew the actor who played darth vader was so full of wisdom! i wonder what he would think about obama winning the nobel peace prize though.
James Earl has a great response, we shouldn't be too exceited about obama. He's just a man who won the presidency, who cares if he's black, I am sure if a white guy exactly like obama ran for office, he would win. Its important, but we shoudlnt be too excited
I'm glad Obama is president, so now all you angry hating black people can shut the f*((* up and stop blaming whitey for not getting a fair shake. We all get a fair shake if we deserve it.
Cindy, that's easy for you to say. being white and all. I understand what you are saying but do you honestly think that the playing field is level now that Obama is President?
I mean... He might not be activist because he likes his privacy or something. He might just be fascinated with guns, like I'm fascinated with bomber planes. I'm not a Republican, I just like planes.
Also.. I don't think he's big on gun ownership, I think he just collects guns.
As for the Iraq War, where did you hear about him supporting that?
I agree with Mr. Jones on total bloodline embrace, but in this country you are who you look like. Especially if you have any negro features. You look Black then you're Black. It don't matter if you have Native Amer/Euro/Afr blood. That one drop rule is still being applied. Pres Obama is of mixed race, but he is called Black. Even though he was raised by his white family.
I don't know about all that. Who can even tell any more? There are still some obvious blacks and obvious whites, but the vast majority are somewhere in between. Also, I think people call Obama black because it gave his election a huge boost, ya know? I mean the reasons for this are obvious, even simplistic. It was just pr.
Being half white and raised by his white relatives helped get over with enough white people to help him win the election. Nearly all black people always vote dem and would have if Clinton won the nominee. What got endeared black people to Obama was Michelle. She's a black lady from the South Side of Chicago. That's black for real. They believe he must be ok because he married a real sista. There's no way in the world that any black person would have voted for Mcclain/Palin.
Saveal Part 2: Even erected a government to make sure that the above could stay true. He got over because he was called for the position, by God. He, like any other phenom, black, white or any other race, fulfilled his destiny. God makes room for you, among men and kings. Oprah, John Brown, Obama, Kennedy, Alexandre Dumas, Pushkin, Frederick Douglass, and a host of others were destined for their places in history, for their missions in life.
Saveal 1: No, that's not why blacks voted from him. Only 27% of blacks initially supported him and instead went with Hiliary. Whites are the ones that vote race, support race, worship race and protect race.

Letters from the "black" candidates, Abu Olasemi and Yinka Olatunde, had a 13% success rate.
Bias in UK because it is a HUMAN condition. It can be religion, race, or whatever.

He says, concerning the first [partially] african american president "... that's just how things should be." That is really equal to saying Obama was elected in a sort of Affirmative Action/Quota rule. I have news for the actor Jim E. Jones here: How it should be Jones is that the most qualified person is elected - regardless of their ethnic background. Some call me "racist" because I question hard such statements and Obama. That sort of blind mentality is really scary when so many live by it.
"How it should be..is that the most qualified person is elected - regardless of their ethnic background."
If this results ( not just politics) , let's say, whites occupying almost all positions of power and influence, would that do anything to your line of reasoning?
l8rthen, that is a good question I haven't thought of. My solution probably wouldn't be appreciated here - but I'd have to say that leadership & influential positions are too important to our society to dole out on an affirmative action quota sort of thing. We'll get wiped out economically first - then militarily - by those nations and factions in our world that could care less about American race relations - African American equality or whatever. In fact, that is already starting to happen.
I consider your line of thinking to be scary. That you would even bring up race when Mr. Jones never mentioned it of Obama just proves that you are obsessed with race and that it must have had some kind of influence on Obama's appointment. Seriously. Get colorblind. Obama was chosen for all the reasons you doubthe was chosen for.
Blackfish, None the less, race and gender do play a part in our decisions. This does not mean that Obama was not qualified, and feurzig's comments cannot be dismissed out of hand.
I will consider Americans to be full adults when they can choose people based on skills, experience etc and not on what color or gender they are. The idea that one's color or sex in anyway affects their abilities or character has been beaten to death by science for decades, yet Americans still believe in its importance. My hope is that Obama can first stem and then destroy the cycle of ignorance that permeates much of American thinking.
Blackfish100, bias is not an American condition, it is a human condition and can be found all over the world. It can be race, religion, belief in cultural superiority. In this instance, in America, we have come a long way as to race in a few decades. But in the issue discussed, we are talking of social ramifications; of political power. To gain political power ( to win seats of power so as to control and influence money, culture) ,
people look at how the decisions they make will impact their winning.
Since so many people are qualified, consideration is given to color and gender since it 'plays' better in widening their appeal. Because perception is also a qualifying marker, someone who may be another's equal in other areas can and should be chosen. I do not think you are giving enough weight to the significance of 'perception' and it's importance. No offence intended.
That perception rather than actual reality and substantiated fact is paramount in the American psyche towards the election of their officials simply supports my argument that Americans have a lot of growing up to do. Your citing that bias exists in other countries is patently flawed. Every other developed nation has relegated antiquated thinking and proponents of such thinking to the margins of their societies. Not so in the U.S.
1. Who has said perception trumps reality and substantiated fact? What has been said is that perception needs to be taken into acct when making decisions. It does NOT mean that you should choose an unqualified individual to fill an appointment. If you have multiple individuals that are able to do a job, consideration must be given to their attributes as to how it will received by others. Gender and race can enter into those decisions.
2. My citing that bias exists in other countries is patently flawed? Every other developed nation has relegated this thinking to the margins of their societies?
You first state that my statement about bias existing in other countries is flawed and then move on to developed nations?
Does this mean you are willing to cede that in fact, bias exists in nations you do not consider 'developed"?
Then let's take a look at what countries you mean by 'developed'".
The reason I am asking you this is because I do not think it will be hard for me to provide references to govt/political processes in any number of developed countries that simulate the ones found in the US.
Of course bias exists in undeveloped nations. They have primitive, often tribal political and social systems.
When discussing developed nations whose systems have evolved to be more complex, we see the U.S is alone in having the tribal, antiquated thinking of undeveloped nations in the mainstream. An example is the U.S being the only dn with a high degree of religiosity and the only dn in which religion plays a role in politics and society.
"we see the U.S is alone in having the tribal, antiquated thinking of undeveloped nations in the mainstream."
We really are not seeing much of anything except that you continue to make unsubstantiated comments. Let's look and see if Australia has any bias. this has nothing to do with being neg on Aussies; it has only to do with your denial that bias is a human condition. Racism is bias.
Every day, science proves more clearly that humanity, although diverse, is one family and one people. Sadly our common experience also shows that racism, hatred or dislike of others simply because of their origin or culture is a common human failing."
""POLITICAL correctness had formed a social divide in the Australian community which fuelled race-related gang rapes and prompted religious leaders to express sympathy for terrorists, Federal Parliament has been told. "
So we see that there is racism and religious based conflict in Australia. Because it is a human condition.
And a result would be expected would be that if people are elected, it would be because they can " sell" themselves to support their backers and/or voters.
I never claimed racism or any other form of antiquated thinking did not exist in other developed nations, but that it only existed in the mainstream in the U.S. In every other developed nation such thinking has been marginalized. These marginal groups lash out from time to time, but that is not an indication of institutional racism, extremism etc. Please cite a country other than the U.S where race/religion is a prerequisite for electoral eligibility?
No it doesn't. Appointments go to the person with the BEST skills. When two or more equal contenders are found, it is who has the most experience and who is able to present the best arguments. Race and gender are meaningless in this regard. Two or more able contenders simply mean they have to 'sell' their qualifications better. That is, not falling unto meaningless territory like race or gender but to make the best arguments as to why they should get the job.
No but seriously dude, nobody cares what you think. Really, just shut the fuck up. And what is the significance of your name, by the way? Feurzug? Feur? Sounds like the German word for "King." Feur is also the name the Nazis used to refer to Hitler. Do you really think people are going to listen to you when your own user-name has a Nazi connotation?
SforzandoFilms, you are once again incorrect - amazing! Feurzug is NO WHERE at all near a "nazi" (German) word for "leader" (as you ignorantly claim) - it means cigarrette lighter. You write so much with so little knowledge - it is amazing! Do you have assistance with the spelling? One thing you can spell well are "bad" four-letter words I was raised not to use. You use these as a substitute for intelligence and class that you lack. Apparently you had a shoddy upbringing as well.
BTW SforzandoFilms, the German word for king is Konig - a far cry from my handle of Feurzug. Look dude, you should please consider this some valuable advice: you aren't going to pursuade anybody with your present mentality and approach (You're welcome).
James Jones is just a rich actor - maybe a good guy - but he is an actor - not a "Wise Man of Great Merit". He puts his pants and frawers on one leg at a time. It amazes me how holliwood just sweeps so many so called americans right off there blind, stumbling feet. When will some of you open your dim eyes and start thinking for yourselves? Black, White, brown - don't trust anything the media pipes at you! Try it -
I choose to think for myself - and Barack is a "baby-killer" and has not accomplished great things like his fervid fans act like he has. Well, time alone will reveal to us the truth about barack. As for me, he has yet to actually earn my respect and his ways are not Christian.
well, time will tell. you all can say your negative comments when those negative things happen. until then, nobody has any room to talk. and neither do i. im pretty neutral on this whole thing.
SforzandoFilms - the bible clearly doesn't support abortion or homosexuality - but Obama does. The Bible clearly condemns these things - but then people like you & obama claim to be above and more modern than the Bible. And you are wrong yet again - because as a Christian, I can't support a person who promotes non-Christian values - such as abortion and gay marriage. I reject your liberal ideology. As for King Obama, time alone will tell who he is. I'll be happy if time proves me all wrong.
I stand by what I said before, you should never ever base your judgments based primarily on your religious beliefs. Furthermore, the Bible was written long ago by old men who thought they knew who God was, but they really didn't know jack shit.
The Bible is a lie carefully manufactured to control idiots like you. And the real problem with it is that people like you try to derive all these meanings from it to justify their little hate-wars.
Why does EVERYONE who is hating on some "liberal" always pull out the abortion card? Even if it IS legal, it's not like anyone is FORCING anyone else to get an abortion! If you're against abortion, don't get an abortion. If some other woman feels like she needs to, it's her right. If God actually is against abortion, she'll eventually have to deal with God about it- but it's not your decision. It was never your decision.
Is Obama also bad for supporting the eating of shrimp? Or football?
silly - you'd think obama has really acccomplished great & marvelous things - well, he hasn't yet and never served in the military. He has yet to earn my respect... and I am waiting... and trying to keep an open mind amidst all this pomp and parade for (IMO) affirmative actions presidential selection. But I do understand why blacks are happy about this. But Obama's half-black heritage isn't American or related to MLK or slavery. Only his white side shares American history reaching back.
SforzandoFilms - hey dumbass - what I was saying is that Obama's only black heritage was not an American but from Kenya - and went back there leaving Obama behind. But maybe you didn't know that. i refuse to conform to your ideology just because it's PC. I am proud of my European heritage - glad of it too. So yeah, I probably am a racist so far as you are concerned - and I don't care what you think about that - and I am man enough to not let you or our liberal gov tell me what to think.
kewl we elected a black guy, i feel all warm and fuzzy about the change, they are about to inaugurate the baby killing antichrist ! i need a shit, hope it's not diarhea!
I agree with you. All you haters are acting like whiny little babies and need to suck it up and stop bitching! Obama is president and is going to finally lead this country in the right direction!
when ever I hear him, I'm just like "omg mufasa is talking to me omfg YES!" heeheehee :DDD

Your citing that bias exists in other countries is patently flawed. Every other developed nation has relegated antiquated thinking and proponents of such thinking to the margins of their societies. Not so in the U.S.
Blackfish100 3 years ago
Blackfish,

You first state that my statement about bias existing in other countries is flawed and then move on to developed nations?
Does this mean you are willing to cede that in fact, bias exists in nations you do not consider 'developed"?
Then let's take a look at what countries you mean by 'developed'".
l8rthen 3 years ago
The reason I am asking you this is because I do not think it will be hard for me to provide references to govt/political processes in any number of developed countries that simulate the ones found in the US.

Of course bias exists in undeveloped nations. They have primitive, often tribal political and social systems.
When discussing developed nations whose systems have evolved to be more complex, we see the U.S is alone in having the tribal, antiquated thinking of undeveloped nations in the mainstream. An example is the U.S being the only dn with a high degree of religiosity and the only dn in which religion plays a role in politics and society.
Blackfish100 3 years ago
"we see the U.S is alone in having the tribal, antiquated thinking of undeveloped nations in the mainstream."
We really are not seeing much of anything except that you continue to make unsubstantiated comments. Let's look and see if Australia has any bias. this has nothing to do with being neg on Aussies; it has only to do with your denial that bias is a human condition. Racism is bias.

Racism in Australia facts
Every day, science proves more clearly that humanity, although diverse, is one family and one people. Sadly our common experience also shows that racism, hatred or dislike of others simply because of their origin or culture is a common human failing."

""POLITICAL correctness had formed a social divide in the Australian community which fuelled race-related gang rapes and prompted religious leaders to express sympathy for terrorists, Federal Parliament has been told. "
So we see that there is racism and religious based conflict in Australia. Because it is a human condition.

And a result would be expected would be that if people are elected, it would be because they can " sell" themselves to support their backers and/or voters.
l8rthen 3 years ago
I never claimed racism or any other form of antiquated thinking did not exist in other developed nations, but that it only existed in the mainstream in the U.S. In every other developed nation such thinking has been marginalized. These marginal groups lash out from time to time, but that is not an indication of institutional racism, extremism etc. Please cite a country other than the U.S where race/religion is a prerequisite for electoral eligibility?
Blackfish100 3 years ago
You should know what developed means. You mean to tell me you haven't got a basic grasp of sociological terms? Why are you wasting my time then?
Blackfish100 3 years ago

SforzandoFilms 3 years ago
SforzandoFilms, you are once again incorrect - amazing! Feurzug is NO WHERE at all near a "nazi" (German) word for "leader" (as you ignorantly claim) - it means cigarrette lighter. You write so much with so little knowledge - it is amazing! Do you have assistance with the spelling? One thing you can spell well are "bad" four-letter words I was raised not to use. You use these as a substitute for intelligence and class that you lack. Apparently you had a shoddy upbringing as well.
feurzug 3 years ago

As for me, he has yet to actually earn my respect and his ways are not Christian.
feurzug 3 years ago
well, time will tell. you all can say your negative comments when those negative things happen. until then, nobody has any room to talk. and neither do i. im pretty neutral on this whole thing.

Actually he is Christian you typical American moron and even if he wasn't that shouldn't be your reason for disliking him.

I'll be happy if time proves me all wrong.
feurzug 3 years ago
I stand by what I said before, you should never ever base your judgments based primarily on your religious beliefs. Furthermore, the Bible was written long ago by old men who thought they knew who God was, but they really didn't know jack shit.
The Bible is a lie carefully manufactured to control idiots like you. And the real problem with it is that people like you try to derive all these meanings from it to justify their little hate-wars.
Go fuck yourself.

Strange language for use while critiquing others for 'hate'.

Only his white side shares American history reaching back.
feurzug 3 years ago
Soooooo you're saying that only white people are American? You racist son of a bitch!!!!
SforzandoFilms 3 years ago
Not just White people are racist...
rebeltag 3 years ago
SforzandoFilms - hey dumbass - what I was saying is that Obama's only black heritage was not an American but from Kenya - and went back there leaving Obama behind. But maybe you didn't know that. i refuse to conform to your ideology just because it's PC. I am proud of my European heritage - glad of it too. So yeah, I probably am a racist so far as you are concerned - and I don't care what you think about that - and I am man enough to not let you or our liberal gov tell me what to think.

I have no faith in Obama. Not because he is brown, but because he is a chump with big words and lots of welfare.
