  • at 0:04 he masses back along the long cushion - hitting 2/3 times and then hits short cushion at 0:09 and rebounds to the ball. Presumably hitting the same cushion more than once in succession does count?

  • @lsbrother The cue ball doesn't have to contact 3 different cushions as long as they're contacted at least 3 times in total.

  • One of the commentators sounded just like Ray Schuler.

  • :14 sang lee in the backround!

  • This guy,and Dick Jaspers are the best two 3 carom players Ive ever seen.

  • @NAMTRIP Yes,its true.A year ago Blomdahl came to Greece for an exhibition and we asked him ''which players among all 3 cushioners do you like?''-And he answered right away without second thought''Dick Jaspers for his amazing cueing technique''.

My opinion is the same,Blomdahl for his effectiveness and Jaspers for his technique

  • how does the shot at 58 where he plays along the cushion, hits the side cushion and then hits both balls count as 3 cushions?

  • It looks like he uses a lot of right hand english and doubles the rail -- short cushion first, then long cushion, then short cushion again out to the other balls.

  • Yes - I see, thanks. If he started off touching the short cushion would that count as first touch - I guess not - so presumably he must have been just off the short cushion to start with?

  • Because it is indeed a three cushions shot. Even if it is almost impossible to see it in the video, he touches the short cushion twice: once ton the way towards the corner and again on the way back. This shot is called a "renversé". The necessary precision to achieve this is just what makes of Blomdahl the great player he is.

  • @lsbrother

its hard to c from camera angle but

q ball hits short rail first then long rain then short rain again . its is called double rail so it count as 3 rails

  • Ok, seriously, what is the point of this? Is it to get the ball to have backspin? Please help me out here.

  • The objective in 3-cushion is: the ball you use must hit the ball of your opponent and the red for make a point; BUT it must too touch at least 3 cushions before touch the last ball. In the play of the video, Blomdahl makes their ball hit 4 or 5 cushions in that little space of the table. An ingenious way to going out of a hard situation

  • wow, that is really interesting! And 4 out of 5 rails? That is insane! Thanks man!

  • Carom games have really interesting aspects that you dont find in other billiards games. Perhaps you have fun if you trying it for a while. I look pool boring after this games -but of course it depends on where you find the fun-. 'Hellos' from mexico city

  • Sí, todo depende. Hablar con usted más tarde amigo.

  • Even Hoppe would have been impressed!

  • R.I.P to Sang Lee.....

  • I'm not sure Blomdahl is human. The trick shot guys are fun to watch, but this guy is something else entirely. The best I've ever seen.

  • omg

  • Nice

  • awesome
