No offence, but the outcome is really awful. Your lashes look short and clumpy. I would never buy this product, can get the same effect using the tip of any other mascara. And that mess it left on your eyelid? Awful!

This isnt suppose to be a BUILDable mascara. You put on like seven coats of it :|

It looks a lot nicer and natural and not clumpy at ALL if you apply less. I guess its not for everyone, it doesnt volumize or stretch them out.. it just brings out the natural curl and length of your own eyelashes.

I love this mascara!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!! I always get complements when i wear it... unlike some other mascaras it gives you the dark drama without taking away the fullness of your lashes! the only thing that kills me is that its not waterproof!! so don't plan on looking pretty in the morning if you forget to wash your face that night lol

I absolutely adore this mascara. I have tried all brands from drugstore to top of the line and never found such a wonderful formula and brush combination. With practice, I have learned to put this on quite quickly now and it lasts all day-giving my lashes length, curl and thickness. I do notice some flaking by the end of the day....but overall it is phenomenal.

Hi, i think you should try Lilash, it's an eyelash serum, it really works! I have to cut mine now, it took 12 weeks though so be patient!

I have used YSL Faux Cils Effet mascara for about 8 years and no mascara will ever compare to it. I have slept in it before (bold girl!) and it hasn't smudged by morning. I always buy trhe double pack in the airport cos it's much cheaper, especially in Stanstead. Much more expensive in Dublin airport

I bought this mascara a little bit of a while ago and it works absolutely wonderful for me :)

It doesn't smudge at all in my experience, unlike my covergirl lashblast..IN WATERPROOF :(

Anyway I really like it since its really effective and quick plus since I have asian eyes it really intensifies my short lashes perfectly to bring out my eyes

got the mascara before i watched this... id say it smudges but doesnt every mascara smudges even if water proof? eh.. just me :I well i really like it it makes my eyelashes really long and really reaches the short lashes. sephora employee gave me a tip that i should apply regular mascara and then put on phenomen mascara. hope this helps to other buyers.

You should try the Kiss mascara by Blinc or The Ultimate Mascara by Becca cosmetics.  They both DO NOT SMUDGE! They only come off with warm water and pressure

Hey, I tried the Kiss Me Mascara by Blinc and so far, I find it really is a natural look, but it extends my lashes. I also like that it "tubes" my lashes, looks dark and it doesn't feel like I have any mascara on. So far, it hasn't irritated my eyes. (I've only used it for two days.) And the removal is really easy.

Check out lash blast mascara, it has kind of a similar wand, but it is cylindrical not spherical. but it does a great job of separating the lashes and gives a really good look. also, i got the waterproof version and it does not budge, no smudging, zero! i have been using diorshow mascara, which i like, but does smudge sometimes. and the price on the lash blast is way less than diorshow, so i would definitely recommend anybody check it out!

I've tried Diorshow and it didn't promise much but thick and long eyelashes and must say, it did the job great.

I'm a bit clumsy so I don't know if I'd be able to apply this without taking an hour or getting it all over my face. But I have been trying to look for a mascara that lengthens & thickens (I have lashes like you) AND doesn't smear/smudge under to eyes. Even if I don't apply mascara on the bottom lashes, the corner top lashes still manage to get under my eyes. I feel like I've tried a million mascaras & nothing seems to do the job. Also, I don't like waterproof, but water resistant is ok. Thanks!

I have naturally long and thick lashes so just about anything cuts it, but i'm not sure i like this way too clumpy and ehh. I think I'll stick to sephora's own atomic volume mascara, it separates the lashes and lifts them, it looks really elegant.

Not worth the price tag to me, all us normal 9-5 workers cant drop 27 on a tube of 'interesting' lashes. Plenty of cheaper mascaras out there that do reasonably as well without making your palms sweat for fear of taking out your eye! Thanks for doing the review! makeup artists will sometimes cut off the wand, using the top for the lid like mac does at counters, and soaking the wand in makeup remover to cleanse and sanitize for multiple use.

brush sanitizer contains alcohol which does sanitize. mac doesn't do this at counters since we have disposable wands to use on clients. but for specialty wands of other brands, a makeup artist (not at a counter or store) will often sanitize and reuse brushes. they are plastic and therefor don't absorb bacteria and can be sanitized.

I am an MUA as well, and if I wanted to use a mascara because of a special wand it had (which i generally wouldn't because i'd rather had the normal spoolies) I would not have a problem sanitizing the wand before redipping, etc.

It looks kinda clumpy, but a great way to get out clumps (and for free!), i just get the little disposable mascara wands available at Sephora. u can find them where they usually have tissues, q-tips, etc. u can use them over nd over again tho, nd it works perfectly!
