  • put it in a derby car

  • I have a 92 GMC Sierra with a 383 stroker. I like these engines.

  • all that money on the engine and you buy cheap 20 dollar valve covers and run it without any water flowing through the engine?! cmon man! thats a great motor dont get me wrong, but think of the internal temps between the cylinder bores without anything in the water jackets! ya the engine itself may not get up to temp and you think your safe, but think of the thin cylinder walls!!!

  • tall valve covers hit the heater box and i'm pretty happy with the chevy ones.... and the heads and intake never went over 200 before i put water in it. engine has since been rebuilt due to a broken rocker stud and now has a comp mutha thumpr roller cam.

  • @ngarloch How would you know that it never went over 200 without water flowing through it?? I agree, why would you want to build such a nice engine and then take the risk to run it without water?

  • @nanmilla i have an infared thermometer. neither the intake, or ends of the heads reached 200..... it's been rebuilt since due to broken valvetrain... and the machine shop said heads were perfect, as were the gaskets.

  • @69CRUZR I didnt know valve covers made any kind of a difference on a motor. I dont know about anybody else but I want my motor to look as stock as possible cuz in most cases you cant or wont get a race. Put the $cratch where it counts, fuck them valve covers.

  • how much power you think this motor makes? 450 - 500?

  • what size is the cam?

  • i am putting a 350 chevy into a rx7 with a 501 lift cam and holley street dominator intake and stuff like that! so how h.p do u think thats running??

  • need to know what heads u got to give you some kind of idea, also is your cam a roller or flat tappet and do you have any idea what your compression ratio is.

  • i am running 11 to 1 compression pistons and a roller cam with with a 600 cfm edlebrock carb

  • still need to know what kind of heads you got to give you any kind of idea on hp and do you have solid roller or hydraulic?

  • @Tayld92 11 :1 with a 600cfm edelbrock. Thats your problem right there, any kind of healthy motor is never gonna healthy with an edelbrock between it heads especially a 600 cfm edelbrock.

  • heads make all the difference in the world.... could be from 300 to 500

  • NOICE!!!!!

  • Can you say sleeper

  • y the hell would you put that nice of a engine in a pos sanoma like that

  • there very light weight. VERY VERY lightweight

  • what kind of intake are u using??

  • it's a victor jr

  • nice

  • wht carb are you useing

  • this video was takin with a 650 holley but that was too small... it now has an 850 holley

  • what kind of cam is it ?? what are the specs?

  • that cam is a comp extreme energy 507/510 lift.

  • 7,200 rpms.Just curious solid or roller cam?

  • at that time, solid lift

  • Nasty cam for street use.Whats the combo on gear and verter?

  • 3.42 gear with a new venture 3500 5 speed trans. i've had it as fast as i wanted to go in 4th gear, around 7,200 rpm. no need for 5th.

  • when u stroke a 350 all your doing is putting a 400 crank into the motor isntead of the stock 350 crank.

  • and boring/honing the block .030" over

  • nice sound.. Did you stroke it if you did where you got that kit cuz I want to stroke my 350

  • you can get forged eagle kits from jegs

  • compression doesn't mean shit. 1 point gives you about 15 horse

  • On the contrary my friend. Compression means the world to power. I have a 1983 chevy K/10 truck w/305 block bored .03 over and 305 heads with 427 vette intake valves. because of the 72CC on the 350's i had more HP then torque. I put the 305 heads with 58cc. I got loads of torque and less horsepower. i beat a 2005 ford mustang in a race to 60. engine had cam, heads, pistons, crankshaft, headers, dual exhaust, LSD diff., raptor transmission, 750CFM cars, racing plugs, racing wires, and lots more..

  • i know it changes your power band around....but you can get 800 hp from a 9:1 pump gas motor. So once again, it doesn't mean shit when you are talking about making 450 hp.

  • show me the build...naturally aspirated 9:1 engine on 91 octane pushing 800 horse, not making argument just curious

  • .125" over BBC, 4.25"stroke, hand ported BB2 heads,Herbert roller 257/270@.050 108lc, 2inch-3.5 headers. engine made 772 on mid BP 89 octane with a 1050 dominator.

  • with a hydraulic flat tappet, depending on his compression, he probably has an honest 440-450hp.

  • please tell me i will be so happy

  • i have a 383 stroker with AFR heads , how mutch power do you have in yours??

  • i have no idea it hasn't been dynoed.... should be over 500 horsepower

  • what cam are you running?

  • it's a comp extreme energy hydraulic flat tappet.... .507/.510 lift.... it will be getting the comp thumpr roller cam this winter

  • i have a 383 with AFR heads Victor Jr intake ,and 10:85pistons and i have about 540hp 500TQ

  • sweet nice work thats one hell of a badass small block. I got a 94 Jimmy 4x4 I'm hopeing to put a engine like that in it someday.

  • i'm thinking about boring my 350 out to a 383 and stroking it

    check the vid out

  • nope it's 2 wheel

  • does that have 4 wheel

  • yeah...i'd just got it in and hadn't gotten to that yet...

  • your radiator hose isn't on. I don't know if you noticed

  • dude that is ....in sick haha wat r the numbers on that bad boy
