damn, it feels so removed over here in the uk, bands like barkmarket AOL trumans water, negatvland, Fudge tunnel, jesus lizard this is the stuff i've grown up loving and tearing my hair out just finding, hidden away in little indies... Wow! I saw these guys at the 40 Watt in Athens. Bachmann came out smoking and singing Prince's "When You Were Mine" accompanied only by the stand up bass and a banjo.  It was fucking unbelievable.

BTW -- Michael Stipe was at the bar with a hoodie trying to avoid being seen. I've seen him at two of Eric's shows. One in Athens, one in the NYC. He's a major fan.
