@Jonneh111 just you, none of the 3 songs they played on the tube were mimed. but i don't know for sure, the band and morrissey sound completely live to me.:)
NOVEMBER 28 / 2011 , at the FOX Theater In Pomona, show was suppose to be from 8-10 , doors opened at 7. He didn't start proper (and I have been to many of his shows in the UK!) till after 9pm and played till 10 . For the amount of almost $500 USD we felt cheated.. we love Morrissey and I really hope he is reading this. LOVE YA Morrissey
Its weird but Iv had this vision of a teen-aged Johnny Marr locked in a prison left with nothing but a guitar, pen, paper, food and water for years without leaving.
I mean, how else can you explain how he got this good on the guitar?
@GreenSLi7 well johnny does have a great choice of idols he looked up too. and
when music was created with instruments and not computers it was this sound you heard alot ,raw twang it was used by hank marvin aswell from the shadows,
This is incredible. The crowd stood motionless and constant like homogeneous robots unable to comprehend a monumentally dramatic and awe-inspiring outcry. It's amazing the way Morrissey seems to torture himself to get them to listen to him as if he were begging for his life in the face of his dispassionate owners. Truly mesmerising.
@Kubo0666 You're stupid. Pop is pop in any generation. Quit filling more into the bandwagon. @MissLibertine95 you aren't looking hard enough, go to some local shows and i guarantee you'll have a fuckin good time. and not to mention discover some great music!
@banzaitrooper Yeah I agree with you, but for me the best music is from 80s, it doesn't mean there's no good music now, then I live in Italy, it's not like in the UK, the same music culture, so it's hard to find great local shows or stuff like this! :)
@tyleet123 same with mine! I don't understand her one bit D: every time she catches me listening to or singing Morrissey or The Smiths she gets all huffy, and I'm just like jesus mum how mental do you have to be not to appreciate how genius this is
Everything in this recording sounds excellent, all four of them, it's stupid. It really is just stupid...how on earth can you sound that good, it should be impossible...
This crowd were clearly expecting Justin Bieber (or rather a 1980's generation equivalent) to come on stage, yet they are so gob-smacked and frozen with amazement at what they've been missing, that they can't seem to physically move.
The Smiths are my favourite band and I've just recorded an acoustic version of This Charming Man, please check it out on my profile and let me know what you think!
Great performance. How cynicism has taken over the very music industry now a days in which Morrissey himself once found very meaningful is tragic. Not very many bands/artists like this one to carry on such a powerful surge of raw emotion. Not too many artists ever have that X factor. FU Simon Cowell For not appreciating Morrisseys work. Hell does he know with his patheticly scripted tv shows.
this band SHITS on 98% of music from any era ever....yet justin gayber gets 10000000x times the view this video does.......are we fucking living or merely existing in this world of fur over the eyes sheep infested ass pool of a world?

Morrisseys poignant lyrics set against Marr's wonderfully flowing riffs and chords will last the test of time. Simply because the music is timeless and the words echo feelings that we all feel at some point in our life's. And this will be true.....generation after generation!

@cossack77 Agreed. I actually believe that unfortunately it is one of the reasons that the Smiths will never perform again. As much as I love Marr, I think that he knows that a reunion will expose how much his genius really was intertwined with Rourke's. He's never matched it since.
What a great song and performance! It just goes to show how solid Marr's guitar playing was. Simple. Effective and nailed every time! Such a great performance without the need of pointless thrills.
