When I hear this song I just think 'I wasn't gaming when Halo CE was new, only when it was about 5 and the graphics were falling behind slightly and Halo 2 was out'. And I picture fans on the first day of Halo playing through this new invention, then think again 'I can never experience that'. This makes me sad but Halo has climbed the ladder of games and reach the top and planted it's flag as my favourite game.

Wanting to recreate the feel of the original, they actually went back in and added some junk code specifically to recreate the speeds and glitches from the original. That's how hardcore they were about getting it right.

@SC18Metrounit HOLY SHIT! that is amazing, every armor peice had its own function. The game is using Reach's armory and Matchmaking system, so if we have to start our ranks and Armory from scrach, It's gonna piss some people off.
@MasterT360 Bungie tried to give us back the Halo CE feel with Reach and you can tell it by looking at some of the levels and seeing the similarities to the Halo CE levels. Unfortunately Bungie failed miserably and in my opinion Reach's campaign is the worst one so far. A primary reason to this failure is that also the music in Reach is the worst music in a Halo game so far.

@MasterT360 Halo isn't made by Bungie anymore. 343 Industries is the one making the future Halo games and I'm pretty sure they actually care how fun the game will be, because some of them are former elite Bungie employees and pretty much the rest are Halo fans who each happen to be able to do some stuff required to get a job at making Halo stuff. They're led by Frank O'Connor who quit Bungie after they finished making Halo 2 because he wanted to make more Halo content. So yeah, I'm not doubting.

Everyone thinks of Truth and Reconciliation at this part, but I think it goes better in Two Betrayals. I always remember stepping out of that tunnel, and the music starts. With a dark sky above me and the perfectly white snow stained from all the bloodshed. The ghostly hum of that banshee that flies above, and me shooting it down with the rockets that I had been saving. I remember climbing into the ghost and speeding through the flood and covenant. Two Betrayals is the best mission in Halo!!!!

@HaloandCoDrock Good note. It really sets the mood both times. With T&R it has a shadowy feel that feels right, but in Two Betrayals it has an almost daunting feeling that feels as though the weight of everything happening to the chief was becoming too much. Considering at this point he is battling through covenant and flood alone, while trying to stop the new found danger of the Halo rings, it sets the stage of despair perfectly. That and there was snow falling. Got to have that.
@HaloandCoDrock the only I parts I hate in two betrayals is the first part where your have to take out all the covenant without much cover. and the part where you fly down into a cave where covenant and flood are fighting, some of the flood have rockets which kill my banshee over and over

Always gives me chills. Only hearing the sound of your footsteps through the snow and banshees overhead. Trudging through the darkness and snow... Final Run is a mission I could play over and over.
from what i've heard, they will add back in some cut out parts. it'll be in HD. the armour actually benefits and helps you. the forge in that game will be even greater than anything we've all ever seen.

@MasterT360 Bungie tried to give us back the Halo CE feel with Reach and you can tell it by looking at some of the levels and seeing the similarities to the Halo CE levels. Unfortunately Bungie failed miserably and in my opinion Reach's campaign is the worst one so far. A primary reason to this failure is that also the music in Reach is the worst music in a Halo game so far.

@MasterT360 Halo isn't made by Bungie anymore. 343 Industries is the one making the future Halo games and I'm pretty sure they actually care how fun the game will be, because some of them are former elite Bungie employees and pretty much the rest are Halo fans who each happen to be able to do some stuff required to get a job at making Halo stuff. They're led by Frank O'Connor who quit Bungie after they finished making Halo 2 because he wanted to make more Halo content. So yeah, I'm not doubting.

Everyone thinks of Truth and Reconciliation at this part, but I think it goes better in Two Betrayals. I always remember stepping out of that tunnel, and the music starts. With a dark sky above me and the perfectly white snow stained from all the bloodshed. The ghostly hum of that banshee that flies above, and me shooting it down with the rockets that I had been saving. I remember climbing into the ghost and speeding through the flood and covenant. Two Betrayals is the best mission in Halo!!!!

@HaloandCoDrock Good note. It really sets the mood both times. With T&R it has a shadowy feel that feels right, but in Two Betrayals it has an almost daunting feeling that feels as though the weight of everything happening to the chief was becoming too much. Considering at this point he is battling through covenant and flood alone, while trying to stop the new found danger of the Halo rings, it sets the stage of despair perfectly. That and there was snow falling. Got to have that.

@HaloandCoDrock the only I parts I hate in two betrayals is the first part where your have to take out all the covenant without much cover. and the part where you fly down into a cave where covenant and flood are fighting, some of the flood have rockets which kill my banshee over and over

10th anniversery Halo: CE game out on 11-10-11.
from what i've heard, they will add back in some cut out parts. it'll be in HD. the armour actually benefits and helps you. the forge in that game will be even greater than anything we've all ever seen.

@dualarbiter I just changed it to Installation 03 because its different. I know Halo 1 was on Installation 04. You probably won't find anyone on this Earth that knows more about Halo than I do. Except Bungie and 343 Industries of course. I find out information as soon as it is either leaked, rumored, or officially revealed. I've read all the books except Halo: Cryptum - Book One of the Forerunner Trilogy. I have played the games many times over. I own the Halo Encyclopedia. Even Halo Wars.
