@93D15B7 With that much power, you'd need really good tires, and a lot wider than is practical for daily driving, just to take off very well *at all* under the best of conditions.

ok stop saying "there is no replacement for displacement" yes there is its called BOOST now you get your ls1 corvette what do they cost? ill just go at a nice number $50000 ok honda civic si you can get for 10 if not less. turbo kit for civic we will say 3000 and rebuilt motor we will say 10000 NOW that makes 23000 dollars which will SMOKE your corvette and it was HALF the price.

@PH11390 Ok, how bout you guys stop grossly overestimating prices of these cars, then? Yeah, you might be able to find a *brand new* Corvette Grand Sport for 50k, but that car has over 400 hp, has way better handling than any street legal Civic ever made, custom shop or no, and only weighs around 3000 lbs. But again, that's brand new. For that price you could buy a used Z06, get even more power, less weight and a little better handling.

@PH11390 For that 23000, you can buy an LS1 Corvette (97-04) for as low as 15k (Ebay, Buy it Now prices alone) or as high as 24k (Z06s, 50th anniversary editions, etc). If I were to have a budget of 23k, I could buy a standard LS1 corvette, a turbo kit, a short throw shifter, a cam, and some pistons, make well over 600, 700 hp and tell you to 'Eat it, bitch. Your Civic could make 1000 hp but it'd still be a gay little Civic.'

f all u, doesnt matter what car u drive!!!! if u got got money u can make any car fast its all about what u like. maybe a corvette or a honda civic,maybe a subaru wrx or 91 5.0 mustange. anything can waNT CAN run the time u want..... if u got money.... but at the end of the day.... the block that pushes the that can push the most air winS! STI 2.5 LITER WILL BEAT a 2.0 liter wrx anytime because the blockcanpushmoreair than a 2.0 liter. same with a chevy.
