I have read, dunno if its true or not, that one of fred phelps grand children who was younger than 10, was attacked at by a molester at the local park whom got away. Phelps felt the man was a homosexual and this is what started the hatred toward homosexuals, he wanted a law to ban gays from the park, the city officials refused. So phelps now not only developed a hatred for gays he now had a hatred for America for allowing gays at the park in his city.

continuing on my previous post, our whole County was outraged. Nine years ago, I moved back into a community full of 90 year old farmers. Each and every one of them has excepted me for who I am (a gay woman..... oh, and a semi-catholic). There's no Catholic church in this county (not sure I would go, anyway- for obvious reasons). I can assure you that Catholics are perhaps the group of persons that spend more money on charity then anyone else.

She quotes Romes saying "for the wage of sin is death" but she only states the first part of the verse. The second part is "but the gift of God is eternal life" so they are just trying make the bible work in there favor. Revelation 22:19 says "And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll."
