They are real, but really expensive. Most likely over $300 dollars.

@pousow1 a 120mW one won't cost over $300. 120mW could even be in the neighborhood of $95-$100. It's when you get to the higher powered ones (I have a 550mW that I purchased for about $388 but that was a total steal) that the cost starts to go up!

The price of a blu ray player really, I'm pretty sure you have to home make these. I can't imagine you could buy them otherwise as they are too dangerous for commercial retail. You could probably buy a blu-ray diode cheap enough somewhere. Instead of getting an entire player.
