@Godotcoffeestorm meh :/ i havent tried the other two games yet, but do the controls make it harder? i heard that the gamecube controls make for awkward aiming. what i know is, i didnt have a LOT of trouible with corruption on normal, but i died on mogenar a few times and on final boss -_-, then i got to veteran, i got all the way up to helios without much trouble but forgot how to beat him, many deaths. i finally beat veteran, now im on hypermode, oh god i lost on berserker lord three times LOL

you know that you can spam hypermode like when mogenar gets the phazon on his feet, use hypermode just before the shockwave can get to you. samus does a automatic jump when that happens. and also, freeze his face when he does that laser form the mouth. :DDD

But the problem is saving up enough energy and the orbs always change their position. And if you don't shoot the orbs he grabs for, you have to do it again. Don't forget the stupid corruption which takes away an entire energy tank if you don't knock out the orb in time.

You don't have to use hyper mode at first when the balls are red. The last two times i fought him (on the 2nd easiest difficulty) I died at the bit when you have to destroy his feet.

This is why you gotta love the prime series of Metroid. Most boss fights in video games, the boss will do the same thing to expose his own weakness. In Metroid Prime, you have to expose the weaknesses yourself and even when you do do that, it'll still take forever to take them out. Gotta love it man! Gotta love it!

You' ve probably gotten past this guy by now but the trick to get past him is to destroy only 1 orb at a time. Once you destroy the red orb, go into hypermode and finish off just the one socket. If you destroy more than one orb, he tries to replace them. Really is simple once you take this tactic. I figured it out after driving myself into a frenzy.
