@jamfreddie I did a little tournament, I'm a 2 years TT player (3 in 4 months) . When I played against any opponent that I didn't know, I was scared. I don't know how to manage the pressure. Have you got a tip?
@TheSkykidof68 It is natural to be nervous as you want to do well. The only way to get over it is to play more tournaments. What you have to remember is that your opponent is also nervous and eventually you will have played more and be less nervous than your opponents. What I would recommend is that you stick to the simple stuff at key points as you are likely to think too much about your shot or serve and muck it up.
@jamfreddie and of course practice lots and lots to make as much of your game happen automatically so you don't have to think about it and you can concentrate other areas of your game.
@TheSkykidof68 just relax... if you're relaxed everything is gonna be easier ... at the same time .. other good way, is don't pay atenttion to the score (even if you're winning) ... and just play each point as a different match .. And if you wanna take some risk... look forward for a "winner" point, attacking your oponnent's serve .. you can also celebrate your points. saying things like "c'mon" or "yooooooo" .. that will help you to finish with the tenssion of each point that you win! @TheSkykidof68 My shot at 1:45 actually went on. I think they are laughing at Chen's reaction as he was leaving the ball assuming I would hit it into the net. The camera angle isn't the best to show what is happening.
You are right about the pressure though. Even the most simple shots become very difficult and I was scared to do anything but the most simple serve.
If you faced Chen Weixing and got like 8 or 7-11 then you should be like number 3 in england.

lol, you know you're into a video of a match when you're afraid to say anything in fear that you'll distract the players.
