@raw265 Go to Winner South Dakota and get a permit and a guide to take you on the Rose Bud reservation guides are $100.00 a day when I go and get 1000 rounds of 22-250 or another caliber if you want to miss alot then tear up the dogs some ranchers will let you hunt without a guide it saves them poison you can go to the bar and talk to others in town also

What rifle were you using? Sounds like it was either a .17 HMR or a suppressed centerfire?

uh...no. a 17 hmr wouldnt do ANYTHING close to that. that is something like a 22-250 or 220 swift or something in that range. 17 only shoots a 17 grain bullet at 2650 fps. not even close to the ballistics it takes to do that.

ya were using mostly 22-250 R700. and then we threw in a couple 223ss. we only wipped out the 17 hmr's and 22's in about 75yds or less
