Metalcore Bass Idea

1) that could work for melodic metalcore if he were in the position of a 'leading' bass such a tool's is.

2) I'm pretty sure he knows what effect a pick will give him and personally, I believe people that have to use a pick to produce speed, shouldn't be playing that fast. I play bass and have never used a pick and I get up to extreme speeds while being able to play technical riffs faster than normal.

3) it's metalcore, you don't want a brighter sound.

whats the point even having a bassist in a metalcore band.. you never hear it anyways.. because guitars are so much into breakdowns that bass doesnt have a place in the band.. even if they have the most untalented bassist you can never tell either way... i know some metalcore bands let there bassist shine but majority, forget even thinking about a bassist..

Actually the back bone of a song is the drums, but the drums and bass are very important, your right about the bassist never gets enough credit.
