  • great job. i love this song and solo especially. awesome effects too!

  • nice save at 1:05

  • Nice! I like the tone you're using for the intro with the loop more than anything I'm hearing... The playing on the intro is great, whatcha playing that strat through on the chrord progression/intro????

That solo needs tightened up, you've got it, just needs to be tighter / and the tone used on it's a bit over done... Hahah, like I could do it better, I'll post a reply as soon as I get a camera....

How did you record the audio to that?

  • perfect tone played nicely....great job!!!!!!!!!!

its just the standard looper that comes with the rp255.

  • Sounds like 2 strings aren't tuned right but other than that excellent job

  • fucken sick brother

  • Sounds like Jimi.

  • this was very well played. you are very good

  • very good nice job man

  • Excellent !!! I'be been chasing that tone for 2 years with my digitech. I cant wait to try out the setup you detailed. I can never get the right reverb and this sounds perfect to my ears !!

  • It sounded like the solo may have needed a bit of reverb or delay to fill it out, but the clean sound was absolutely spot on.

I really don't care for that song, but you play it very well. :)

  • Very impressive

  • Fantastic job! You've inspired me to learn this song -- one of my all time favorites!

  • good stuff man. Keep it coming.

  • I wanna learn this so bad

    5 stars dude

  • completely awesome in all respects...from the playing to finding the perfect settings on your digitech!!! Can't believe it's only been viewed less than 500 times

  • Thanks man, hopefuly with some more time and after making some more video's it might make its way around. I'm working on a cover of the live version McCready plays on tour. It has some added gain and chorus effects which sound preety good.

  • How's the reverb on the RP255, is it basic or can you adjust its echo?

I need a multi effects pedal with a decent reverb settings

  • You can pick from 6 different reverb effects settings and from there you can adjust the reverb level, the amount of decay and some have this other option called LIV. Not quite sure what it does. I prefer the Fender Twin Reverb setting. I think it does a good enough job.

    Fender® Twin Reverb™*

    Lexicon® Ambience

    Lexicon® Studio

    Lexicon® Room

    Lexicon® Hall

    EMT* 240 Plate

  • @Gipedo

    Hey thanks for the feedback

I'm deciding on getting this cool RP255 but I don't want to be short in reverb possibilities

Is changing the amount of decay the only setting apart from the 7 different presets?

It would be cool if you could make a short video demonstrating the reverb settings on this pedal, I couldn't come across a video on youtube that would show it well.

  • I will try to make a demo video for that. I want to get a new video camera before I do another recording. I'll probably be getting one shortly after Christmas.

  • Cool, that's good to know.

  • Well unfortunately I didn't get a camcorder thanks to a traffic ticket I recently got, but It doesn't matter. I'll make one with my old camera regardless. The audio is the main concern anyways.

  • Thats cool, as long as it sounds as good as this video its more than enough :)

  • nice guitar work, man. And a great tone. Which amp are you playing out of, the Vox AC-30? I subscribed, btw. Looking forward to seeing more from you in the future.

Hey, if you get a moment, you should check out my original rock songs on my channel too, maybe sub me back.

  • Hey man thanks for the Sub! I like the sound your working with on your originals. Its a really smooth listen.

I'm glad you like the tone, this song has been driving me nuts to figure out the setup and I'm getting there. Soon hopefully.

For the Rhythm, your right. I am using the VOX-AC30 amp model. Like I said in my profile: It's my favorite amp. I don't think you can ever go wrong with it. McCready is probably using something else I'm sure.

  • yeah, AC-30s are the shit. Although for me its close call between that and the fender twin reverb for that fresh, chimey clean sound.

I currently play out of a peavey valveking 112, which I like, though it doesn't have the same crispness as the vox or the fender. Its got a great thick, overdrive though and you can get like a "boston"-esque sound even with a strat.

  • dude awesome cover
