That looks wierd and awkward....but any one who has played some cricket can tell you that thr is a certain degree of truth to that.....when a good slower bowl is bowled by a fast bowler and it comes at ur waist height and than dips....a batsman can get the elusion that the bowl is a beamer...

I hosted a breakfast a few years ago where Rodney Hogg was guest speaker. His recount of this dismissal is hilarious. The short version is that he had never seen a slower ball before and thought he had just been bowled a beamer. On his way back to the pavilion, he heard the members laughing at the replay. In the dressing room, he phoned his wife and told her to erase the video of the match because "I don't want my son knowing I'm a coward".

Hogg's brain actually worked fine there. He knew it was way down the leg side and had no chance of hitting the stumps but just went to sleep forgetting the "physical laws of deflection"!!
