The tune is modal, and I'm a little rusty on my modes, but I can tell you it ends on the open A string, and it begins with up upbeat A on the G string. I hope that helps.
Yes it does help. It seems to be played in a slightly higher key sometimes - which I think you go into in your second pass ? Your arrangement is very interesting. Thanks for posting !

The second pass is simply a repeat of the first an octave higher.
