Turkey's long term interests would be better served by coming to grips with its genocidal past, rather than fining and jailing those who speak the truth about the Armenian Genocide.

Turkish historians such as Dr. Taner Akcam and Dr. Fatma Gocekof are a couple of the few scholars to have undertaken research in the Turkish state archives.They go on to conclude not only that a genocide sponsored and systematically exploited by the Turkish state, and was undoubtedly committed, but also that its premeditated nature was evident.
I can name an entre LIST of foreign academic professionals and scholars that have research that prove a 'genocide' did not occur. Justin McCarthy is one of them. An expert in Ottoman history.
