  • That was Amazing !! I want to get that good after i get a violin. Wow ! Deserves more than those little claps at the end of the video!

  • Such control... amazing. One day I will my instrument as well as this.

  • Anyone have the sheet music for this song??

  • @sp3odie I saw the sheet music once.... It's practically impossible! She plays this more or less by heart!

  • Beautiful!!! <3

  • I think she would get really rich if she sold this in sheet music

  • @HuggumsMcgehee Something she did when she toured with Steve Vai. It contains part of Paganini's 5th Caprice.

  • I have never seen before sombodie who not use de pinky or little finger in the bow not for a second at least

  • Yesss this is wonderful. You can tell she really FEELS the music, and because SHE feels the music she makes the audience feel the music as well. This is fantastic.

  • So hot!

  • Apples in Paradise by Steve Vai

  • can someone explain me how the Youtube Symphony Orchestra will work ??? and some more informations :) if there is any concert etc....

  • a little booby action at the end! lol

  • should we even ask the name of the song?......

  • wonderful.

  • technique is a great thing, it's there to learn violin so you can have more control...when you can play like this, and be so amazing and in control of not just the violin, but the music, who needs fancy technique and shit?

not saying she doesn't have good technique, but you can't exactly criticize her for missing skill sets cuz she's just so good at the music.

  • simply amazing

  • I'm semi addicted to the way this woman shreds. And to think I only found after watching some Steve Vai videos.

  • I used to play poorly just like this poor girl, until I watched two or three 'Village Idiot' videos on 'How To Play the Fiddle' now I play like, well, like a village idiot.

Fuck you all and Paganini too.

    ROFL!

    Good job young Lady!

  • @MusicalGregory....please put your head back up yer ass. She's very talented. By the way if we're measuring levels, then you're the biggest cock-blocker around.

  • SHES HAWTTTTTT OMG PM ME IM IN ARIZONA

  • Great!!

  • good freaking player, and she looks so happy while she is playing

  • If this old fiddle could talk....look it up and thank me later.

  • fucking hottie !!

  • she is a good player. if you want some wild stuff check emile autumn out.

from the laced/unlaced album. the song is called leech jar.

  • The dislikes are obviously from jealous people. Just appreciate, because she is really talented.

  • @MusicalGregory You're incorrect. She did a fine job but it certainly wasn't anything prodigious nor was it anything that a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd chair violinist couldn't learn in about 10 minutes. Her tone was very good. She made two mistakes. "really talented" people don't perform a piece live, in this type of setting, and make mistakes. Other than that, it was a decent performance worth listening to and enjoying.

  • @capitalismforme So how am I incorrect? I simply said that she's really talented, which is a personal opinion, therefore, I'm neither correct or incorrect about anything.

  • @MusicalGregory Saying someone is "talented" is a definitive statement. It isn't an opinion. There are measurements in music to determine if one is talented. In order to be talented in the violin world, one must possess a certain level of skill sets. The ability to perform ricochet bowing is one of those skill sets.

  • she would be asian... id like to see you play bass. then we can talk about skill.

  • 39 dislikes? how could you.its so beatiful to listen to!amazing talent...coming from a beginner!

  • WHAT IS THE PIECE CALLED!?

  • So simple, but with a myriad of subtleties! Bravo!!

  • what's the piece called?

  • 3:13.....pause and yank.

  • Детский сад, в крайнем случае музыкальное училище.

  • Cute, she played an unfinished version of this at the Steve Vai shows.

  • Oh god that was beautiful, haunting, amazing.

  • Who are the 38+ jackasses that disliked this ? I guess they were just clicking to check out a hot girl instead of exploring it for it's musical aspect.

  • NICE ANN !!!!:))D***

  • NICE ANN !!!!

  • sounds almost like paganini

  • most beautiful woman in the world

  • OMG..... how's that possible to keep the quaver pause going while the melody's still that smooth... that is AWESOME!!!

  • absolutely gorgeous tone!!!

  • what is she doing/what is that called? at 0:45 . can a beginner learn that?

  • how she is performing the amplitue modulation? just thorugh changing the pressure from the bow to the strings?

  • @orleomarty Yes. It's not that difficult but doing so at a pace will be distracting.

  • @orleomarty I believe so, I'm no violinist, but the physicist in me says that's correct.

  • What is this song called?!?!??!

  • she is playing)))))

  • it sounds like the violin is breathing... 1:35

love, hate, kiss, soft, hard, rough, haste, crying, screaming.... I can't describe it there are no words for that

I just close my eyes and glory in it

  • haha you can see the shadow of that guys head , idk why I wanted to say that.

  • @USER1046 hahah i noticed that too.

  • is this an original song by her? that would make it twice as good

  • yes amazing body on the violin haha.

  • amazing

  • this is soo beautiful....passion in her playing.. i love it!!!

  • I'm an artist myself (painter) and when i try a new image or any landscape i always put my heart on the painting

this woman really is puting her heart in the violin, trying to tell a story of an warrior that in the war fighting his enemy find himself hurt and when he finally lay down to rest and die he find strength and gets up and continues the fight because he truly belives in his cause

    thats passion right there people!

    loved it

  • @theangeltattoo oh man, it's so true. her use of dynamics is so expressive. i've been poking around youtube on various videos and she's really something.

  • @theangeltattoo I have been coming back to this over the last two years, always thinking it was great, but I am curious about your warrior statement about it. I have been a warrior, two and half years in combat ( I mean combat) in Iraq and this just brings beauty to my ears. There is nothing in this that says warrior to me, there is a very raw emotion, but not warrior. Either way I love this and as long as it is on Youtube I will faithfully come back and watch it.

  • magnificent

  • the beginning reminds me of the Beetlejuice movie

  • yeah ! its like .... the engine of a motor!

  • Notice how MTT looks like he is checking her out in the the first 30 seconds...

  • lol, she is always so happy xD in all her videos :D

  • beautiful body and beautiful music!!!great!!

  • I had the amazing opportunity to see her twice in Brazil at 2007. She was playing with Jethro Tull and with Steve Vai. She is amazing musician and beautiful as well.

  • love

  • beautiful!

  • I hate people who play like that. Since when did musicians get so conceited.

  • @foshizzlefizzle play like what?

  • @foshizzlefizzle It's because she's beautiful, talented, and smart. She's pretty much perfect. By the way she's not playing "conceitedly" as you put it. She's putting emotion into her playing. now please stop being a twat.

  • @SynthRay Why did you call me a woman's genitals?

  • @foshizzlefizzle You're kind of acting like one.

  • pff, I could do that if I wanted to

  • soo great!!

  • omg this like brings chills to my spine!!

  • wow

  • What song is this?

  • @Jakaybaybay123 Apples In Paradise, check Steve Vai's new DVD Where the Wild Things Are

  • Pure madness i always post on this vid but everytime i watch it it amazes me WOW!!! Plus your a from around the way so yeah cudo's

  • wow she's amazing

  • ANN MARIE YOU'RE AMAZING! keep inspiring us other musicians!

  • K forma mas horrenda de tocar... solo le falta tener polla.... Y el sentimiento? tiene rever... nada mas. REVER... pero no le veo talento.

  • What piece is she doing?

  • her body looks like violin ... noo ... violin looks like her ... she is amazing woooow

  • i think this piece is to her own composition, her style is modern and original,.

  • She is so great. And sexy. Perfect technique. Lacking only on timing a bit, it's more like she is playing scales.

    WOW!!!

  • What is she playing?

  • vanessa mae is nothing as compared to her. she is incredible

  • what piece is it?

  • INCRIVELLL!!!!!!!!!!

pq eu ñ toco assim,e realmente incrivel

    d+!!

    ta aprovado

  • and that' s technique !

  • Bravo!

  • very well timed precise movements steve vai made a good choice with her!

  • Its a viola.

notice how the G string isnt the last string on her insterment?

or how she needs to be in second position to play higher notes

or how when she open string crosses there is no E?

Am I the only one who noticed that...*takez out violin* yeah my violin dosent have a note that low that I can play doubble stops on

  • If you looked carefully at when she was doing the chords in first position, then you would've noticed that the top note sounds like its on the e string and not one the a string. Therefore it has to be a violin. Also, you should read her bio, it would tell you that she's a violinist and not a violist. I'm just saying. No hard feelings please. Thank you.

  • its a violin, a viola cant play such high notes

  • It's a violin, a full-sized viola is definitely bigger than that.

  • Nice. Anyone know what piece and who it's by?

  • This is cool! She sort of reminds me of Vanessa-Mae...

  • erhhhhh??

How could you even start to compare her to Vanessa Mae?

This girl is a gzillion times better than Vanessa Mae!

  • @acorntechnique I don't agree that the two ladies should be compared to one another, Ann Marie is out of this world fantastic, Vanessa Mea although not on the same level performs well and will more than likely get better in time. Just my opinion.

  • Comment removed

  • @acorntechnique Vanessa Mae has OUTSTANDING technical skills, we must all agree on, but Ann can create some OUTSTANDING music, which is what really counts :)

  • Bravo!! I love the unique way u fiddle!:) i wish i can do it. I love your violin sooooooooo muuuuuuuch.

  • after this, i just want play violind!

  • sexy!

  • Comment removed

  • i love this piece!

  • Amazing.

  • Amazing body ..... on the violin

  • @miroslavsafin

    Nice ass...on the violin.

  • @miroslavsafin goddamn man have you seen those armpits?

  • i was i could play viola as good as her...

  • it's a violin dumb butt.

  • hey i kno. i play viola and i said wished i could play my viola like that

  • @aerokdaawesome its violin....

  • wat a musician ...she is great...

  • shes pretty pro and nice looking too lol but idk that peice wasnt that good but yea still pro

  • What a bunch of moronic comments..She is awsome!!!

  • OMGOMGOMG STOP IT ALREADY!!

  • i cant believe you were looking at her diaphragm

  • I agree with LBsKitchen!!

Sie spielt unbglaublich, klar, ab und zu hört man was quietschen, aber dagegen hab ich nix...

Die lauten und leisen Stellen hat sie super hinbekommen!! Respekt!!!!

  • No it's not just you. I have always dated women from different cultures than that of the the USA. For the greater part they are SOOO much more interesting then our women. Asians are very attractive although any woman must be smart and open minded for me, not hard to find in Asains.

  • Elya es mas lindo e perfecto!

  • Comment removed

  • You can hear her draw fast breaths just before each power stroke. Like a performance motor. ! .....A Human Violin Machine, and a living work of art.

  • Are you a loser?

If you look at her diaphragm she holds her breathe when she's releasing force, because it doesn't move up, until after she's made the powerful strokes.... Deer :P and You can't hear her breaths Laugh.Out.Loud. But other than that, I just felt like being an ass and telling you that mwuahahahahaha, it's what i do!

  • @newvisionsco like a performance motor you say, I know nothing about music but that's exactly what I thought when I saw Samvel Yervinyan

  • This was incredible. She had perfect control of her violin. I play the violin too, and I don't know how she did the little wave-lengths while doing a double stop. Amazing. BRAVO! ENCORE! Tres bien. Merci pour ta temps! Et pour la music!

  • This is great, regardless of who composed it- I love that it incorporates so many technical skills that true classical violin playing demands, Thank you for sharing this video!

  • There's a squeak on 2:29-2:30.

  • yeah i noticed that too...there is also a "kk" sound at 2:55 when she started a down bow chord, but i must say it was a difficult piece

  • like YOU could play it without a squeak.

    stupid poser.

  • this is just great!!

  • i have a burning passion for this song. i gotta learn it.

  • Absolutely wonderful!

  • I have weakness for women and violins......I think I need a cold shower

  • Her you tube page is awesome

  • What is her page?

  • I think youtube composed this. It sounds like alot of pieces, surely its a "medley", that they arranged of of several pieces to sound like one tune.

  • bravo

  • what is the song's name? by the way nicee!

  • what's the piece called!?! It's really cool, I would play it with even more of a gypsy feel but it's awsome..anyone know?

  • singaporean....?

  • India's 1st alternative music single-

    /watch?v=Cu1K_dg-Cas

  • Is it me or are all mixed-asians smoking hot?

  • no its not just you

  • Vanessa Mae, uh huh.

  • No they are....how about pure-blooded Asians?

  • oh! it's so exciting!

  • dear, this is amazing and original!

absolutey love the technique and your execution of it. beautiful!

  • -Sabe alguien cual es el nombre de la obra?

-Does anybody knows the name of the song?

-Ba al daki norbaitek abesti honen izena?

    -有没有人知道这个音乐的名字

  • She is so sexy, and that's all I can say about.

  • *_*

    (Jaw drops in astonishment)

    awesome.

  • I've concluded that the passion for Western music has shifted East- maybe not purely in geography, maybe in genetics, don't know... I've seen it in classical and electronic... good feel for music by Ms. Calhoun here... a bit more dynamic expression, perhaps, but that could be the composer's shortcoming here...

  • i wish i could be that confident!

    well played!

  • Yeah, I know, I'm sorry... But only because I happen to be a talented unemployed violinist... Otherwise her mediocrity wouldn't have affected me that much.

  • put up some of your music and then talk, ok?

  • Absolutely, will be happy to. But now, your mind is set to hate me and you would trash me on your comments anyways because I'm a classical musician.

But I'll do it. For you! Next time I go on stage I'll put on the sluttiest dress I can ever find and shake my ass on stage as much as i can.

    Then I'll post on youtube.

  • no i dont hate you. i really am curious to see how you play. i always thought ann marie was pretty good. she's already won two you tube contests. if your better you REALLY need to start submiting your stuff.

  • The dress does not make the slut...

  • MIne will.

  • Humble too.

  • B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L

  • 1. hold your hand against your mouth

    2. spit in it a lil

    3. make ur hand into a fist

    4. put it next to your man tool for 10-15 min

    5. stop with the stupid forwards BS

and on a serious note. she rocked the shit outta that violin
