@MusicalGregory You're incorrect. She did a fine job but it certainly wasn't anything prodigious nor was it anything that a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd chair violinist couldn't learn in about 10 minutes. Her tone was very good. She made two mistakes. "really talented" people don't perform a piece live, in this type of setting, and make mistakes. Other than that, it was a decent performance worth listening to and enjoying.

I have been a warrior, two and half years in combat ( I mean combat) in Iraq and this just brings beauty to my ears. If you looked carefully at when she was doing the chords in first position, then you would've noticed that the top note sounds like its on the e string and not one the a string. Therefore it has to be a violin. Also, you should read her bio, it would tell you that she's a violinist and not a violist. I'm just saying. No hard feelings please. Thank you.
