This issue really takes some looking into. It is hard to gain the knowledge required to sift through all nonsense about it, to determine what´s true and what´s not. Essentially it´s about a delicate balance that now has been lost. All industrial production emits co2 not only cars. Nature kept the climate in balance but now it´s making the problem bigger. The polar caps for instance used to reflect sunlight off into space cooling us down, soon it won´t adding to the temperature rise.

It means carbon dioxide stays in our atmosphere for a hundred years which it actually does. The atmosphere is such a sluggish system that carbon dioxide output made today won´t be detecteble as global warming until 50 years in the future which means what we are experiencing today is the output made 50 years ago. 50 years ago there weren´t nearly as many cars around as there are today. With the car explosion in China and India there is literally much warming to be paid in the next 50 years.

What you are saying about phytoplancton is not really so. When some Phytoplancton increase they build kind of a shell aorund them made of calcium and when this is done they emit carbon dioxide which have a the opposite effect. Carbon dioxide makes sea water acidious which in turn makes it more difficult for the kinds of phytoplancton that absorbes carbon dioxide to proliferate. If global warming could be stopp with just adding iron to water

It's a snowball effect. The warmer the ocean, the less CO2 it can hole. At some point, we will reach the point of no return. Think: soda pop. Warm soda goes flat fast because of chemistry.
