  • Black men should listen to their mamas and NEVER trust white women

  • My english teacher says the O in this movie symbolises vagina.

    Is she fucking with me?

  • BLACK People > WHITE People > Everybody else

  • 10096015 MINDLAB SO WHY ARENT THEY PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES WORMWOOD SCRUBS PLS ADRIAN MULTIVITAMIN PILL

  • The most interesting thing about this movie ("O") is the different damaging psychology ploys of persuasion that are currently being utilize in this American society on targeted individuals and in the media, in order to satisfy strategic objectives that has no relevancy on anything righteous and/or upright.

  • fuckk all the racial profiling. thats what keeps this ignorant fuckin shit perpetuating.

  • @1969420 the ignorant outnumber the non-ignorant unfortunately

  • "bitches man"

  • this is hilarious :)

  • @21cbb

  • Great story!

  • What is that song thats playing when shes gettin raped? haha I think its from outcast

  • I FUCKING HATE BOOK REPORTS

  • okay theres a song in this movie and im fairly certain its by outkast.

its when julia stiles is gettin straight rammed by mekhi phifer.

does anyone know what the song is?

  • @1969420 Aquemini by Outkast

  • @princess11222 goodfuckinshot

  • I never really got why Hugo did all this, I mean I get the whole jealous part of it, that's obvious but I think they're still another reason...

  • we're reading othello in my ap lit class. everything they do is a result of elevated passion and jealousy. were gona watch this movie after we're done. soo excited. loll iago btw, is a complete twisted sociopathic bitch.

  • @livexthexlife192 Iago is brilliant. he is one of the greatest literary charactors EVA!!!!

  • Haha... So bad...

  • best movie i've ever seen !!! omg! LOVE IT

  • veja os erros de gravação em matrix!!!

    /watch?v=E3FcIL_j0fI

  • his acting skills in these few clips are so beautiful. Filled with so emotion.

  • i wish josh wasnt the bad guy in this movie :(

  • Dhis is really a qood movie , But Dha endinq is so sad .

  • its amusing to see people thinking they know shit when they watch this movie comparing it to real life lol...this is ALL based on shakesperian play OTHELLO!Get your facts straight before posting your idiotic comments.

  • this is one of the worst movies I've ever seen xD

  • naah=but anything is better than Olivia in blackface...

  • such a good movie ,the ending always makes tear up because he reaaly did love (eachother)

  • I know people hate when you compare the similarities in this film with real life now i.e. how black athletes are obsessed with these fake ass white virgins etc. how pathetic. It really smh on this and it is truly sad to say the least. All of you on here that decide not to deal with this aspect are well just ignorant of the context in which I am referring.

  • hey look it chris brown! jk but i do wish someone could post up the whole movie i remeber seeing some snippets.

  • staaring at the crowd and his enemy starts the chant, the rest is dope

  • can anyone tell me the name of the song at the scene where O rapes Dessy

  • Comment removed

  • @pbkid201 OutKast - Aqemini

  • Great Video Clip! I would love to let you in on a great film, inspired by Shakespheares Othello, Desdemona: A Love Story. If you love "O" you will love Desdemona: A Love Story, A Maverick Entertainment Film available now at Blockbuster and Amazon.com!

  • I was so upset with this movie the virgin white girl and the black athlete obsessed with her and how he wants her etc. It was pitiful and mekhi s only reason for living is if he can have her PLEASE. I could have vomited this was the most profound piece of garbage that I have ever seen and I cannot believe it was even made. There are enough stereotypes on here to start a revolution.

  • @jksn008

...calm down, it's just a movie for christ sakes. Geez! Besides, in case you haven't caught on this is a remake of the classic play Othello. This was how it was written!

Stereotypes? You're the only one that brought up black this and white that. ...hmmm.

  • @jksn008 ..umm you do know that Othello is described as a black man right? lol

  • @jksn008

    Um, darling.

If you read Othello, he IS black. It's based on the play. And his love interest is white.

I don't see how it's stereotyping if it's basing it on a play Shakespeare wrote.

  • this movie is f'in awesome...it really is a modern version of Othello...they did a good job with this

  • Josh Harnett just has the appearance of a sick person. I love Julia Stiles, and Mehki is a great actor too.

  • dis waz crazyy...!

  • O is so strong and confident on the court but with everything else, especially with love, he's so insecure and vulnerable. Trust was such a big issue between him and Desi and when he thought about her going behind his back, it drove him insane. and I REALLY hate the ending, but this is one of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies. I think it just really sucks that Desi couldn't get a word in and was strangled to death. I think in the original play, Desdemona tells Othello that she loves him.

  • @marshmallowseal234 its so sad that she cheated on him :( that dude mike said it and everything...

  • @NewEnglandSportsDude She never cheated on him, they set her up because they knew he would go crazy and do something to mess up his shot at making it big in basketball.

  • love it, is it on dvd anyone?

  • i bought this movie of of amazon because i love it and Josh Hartnett and Mehki phifer and the indian boy looks sexy in in BUT MOST OF ALL JOSH HARTNETT LET ME FIND SOMEBODY THAT LOOKS,SOUNDS and HAS THE SAME STYLE AS HIM

  • This was actually really good.

Still kept the message of Othello in the movie :)

  • I cant believe O let him manipulate him like that and he used Desie as the key to his vulnerability, what a twist this movie was but believing everything some guy tells me will not drive me to kill myself and my GF because in the end I'm the star basketball player I can get any girl I want on campus it aint worth it, Also the dunk was ill sonnnn!

  • After so many years i still feel the pain and hate when i watch this movie. omg i truly dispise hugo i hate him and even though this movie was great i hate the ending i truly wanted o to find out that hugo was playing him but he just allowed this guy to mess his head up, and i mean he naver even questioned mike or told dessie that hugo told him all of these things he just accepted it so dumb. anyway thats just life envy is such a bad thing it can desroy alot of lives

  • Most white people like Hugo are like that 24/7.

  • @mightyblack1 Yeah, they manipulate the other races to their benefit, under the aegis of the Jews. ):

  • @chancepino that mean other races need to wake up and wise up to them .

  • @mightyblack1 Most defintely. "Fight the power," of 1989, is a classic, and a wake-up call for us all; the lyrics to said vid must be reflected on, as they contain fundamental truths: the CIA must stop the drugging of low-income areas; the people must unite against all tyranny, which is mainly in us, i.e, domestic.

  • @mightyblack1 Well, as a white person let me tell you the truth about white people. We're not snitches or snakes, we don't go behind other's backs. As far as white girls.. there a whole other story. But dude, white people aren't bad. That's just stereotypes man. Don't believe that shit. It's like saying mexicans are baby manfactures and chinese are sly. People are people, don't base on color, only on the person.

  • @tylernsharp07 I don't trust none of you and you might be a nice person but I'm not falling for the banana in the tail pipe.Every job I worked at there were white people railroading black people out of thier jobs and of course there were black bootlickers helping your people doing the dirt.400 years and counting there's nothing to make me want to trust none of you,and it's fucked to see alot my people hating each other but loving your people more, that's a illness on my people that yours .

  • God...this is just as horrendous as Romeo And Juliet with DiCaprio......

  • No, this one is better. Romeo+Juliet killed the message, this one enhances it.

  • @Nymbo1 What is the message?

  • @delta510 Romeo and Juliet= Sheltered rich kids in over their head, subversion of classic rom-com.

Othello= Straight up tragedy, Othello's tragic flaw is passion and jealousy such that it makes him a great man but also will fuck up his life.

  • @PkInWild haha fo sho

  • yep. that's all high school really is: algebra, bad lunch, and infidelity.

  • LOLOL wowow WHY IT HAD TO BE THE BLACK PERSON!!!

  • othello is muslim/black

  • in 16th century, moor=black/arab raced

  • @kittykatrules NO IT MEANS BLACK NOTHING TO DO WITH ARAB SORRY!!!

  • umm, coz othello is supposed to of "different race" than Desdomona, and is, in fact, black as written by shakespeare

  • I NO tht.. I was in the play! Lolol I was saying why Shakespeare had to make the black guy crazy! lolololol

  • @kashmiriguycali4nia hes the "moor of venice" so while we all think hes black...he could have been Morrocan or of Arab decent... :) either way he definetly was not white and had a darker complexion

  • @kashmiriguycali4nia Actually "Moor" doesn't necessarily mean black. Just not white.

  • hahaha i know right this movie is terrible and great at the same time

  • @gogo245 hahahahaha

  • ok, everyone knows Othello Kills the white girl...Duh!

  • Shakespeare is turning over in his grave.

  • "ooo knockers i didnt think he could do that anymore"

    luv this movie

  • I loved this movie,it's really sad though.Mekhi is damn hottt...

  • does anyone know where i can find the whole movie of this at??? greatly appreciate it

  • amazon ;)

  • ooh i cried when he shot himself it was so sod T_T

  • @Cristianron1 THANKS FOR TELLING US WHAT HAPPENS. JESUS christ.

  • Oh you're upset cause u know the ending now?

    Well i don't give a fuck

  • @Cristianron1 May the slender man be your witness. hehe.

  • lol

  • NIGGA MOMMENT LMAO!!!

  • Where is my scarf bitch! LOL

  • Ugh....why didn't they keep the original dialogue? This is terrible...

  • @alfalhomi You're right. I think this inevitably over simplifies things drastically.

  • true, the dialogue is awful, and during the serious scenes it's hard not to laugh

  • @alfalhomi update! if you want the original diologue the watch the 1995 othello if u dont like this one!

  • the part where he rips her a new pussy was so fucking funny everyone in my class laughing there asses off.

  • It's easy for Mehki to play a mad character yo to see Mehki, sticky fingaz, omar epps, and fredro star in the same movie was a trip cuz these dudes are know for having short tempers

  • @RichyJA are you talking about a day in the life when they rap the whole mocie because they were all in there lol

  • dis ball shortie ???? no nigga da 2 balls hangin off yo dick lol HISTORICAL

  • where can i find the whole movie ?

  • Hmmmm-- where's Shakespeare? Where's the poetry?

  • Julia is the only white girl actress that actually kissed a black actor long and acted a sex scene with them i think about 3 times...

  • an she gave a reason for that on a VH1 special

  • @b215apple not true.Josh Hartnett had a sex scene with a black girl in August ahhh and the scene is on here too lol Julia stiles is not the only person to do a sex scene with a black person LMAO

  • hugo is the shit!

  • fuck i love this movie

it's soo fucken sad i hate the ending(meaning it's sad)

  • The ending is sad because Othello ( the play Shakespeare wrote 500 ago is a Tragedy).

  • such a sad ending

  • Comment removed

  • yes it is sad but his movie is well acted I wanna see more of Julia Stiles. She has Myrel Streep potential...

  • the hand over the mouth after spouting a load of lies - brilliant from harnett :)

  • totally

  • How come Julia Stiles always gets to play the white girlfriend to the brothers in every freakin flick. Isn't there any other young hollywood who would do that job? I wonder. William shakpear is a god of the human condition. Only Frued and nietsche have a deeper understanding of the working of the human mind and its society. this flick and the noevl are classics of cinema and literature respectively. Big ups to Meki.

  • true

  • wasnt she just in this and one other movie? so only two total along side a black dude

  • damnnnnn hes sooooo fine!!!! i feel in love with this movie btw...julia stiles be gettin those movies..u go grl!! they dnt be giving u enough credit!!!

  • can you download the whole movie plis!

  • Does anybody know where can i download this movie?

  • If you've read the original play by Shakespeare Josh's character is true to form. The play and the movie are bitter sweet, but very good and very deep. You can't help who love or who's jealous of you because of it.

  • I love the "Othello" story but it's just too damn sad.

  • i remember this

  • depressio

  • where can i download this movie? or watch it? cuz i havent seen it and ive been tryna watch thsi movei :(

  • Your disgusting

  • Just commenting how poorly made this film was.

  • oden has insecurity issues

  • at 50 seconds O is on his tip toes to lift josh harnett lol badass

  • Yeah i peeped that. they could of done a better job in the editing process.

  • okay man i belive you i was messing with ya just wanted to see what you would say but yes i don't care for his charcter either but both actor are great i always liked josh he can be funny yet serious and meki what can i say his has played in some tear dropers lolz but yeah man i as messing with ya great film somebody uploaded it!

  • in this i loved iago or hugo, MUCH BETTER

i wasnt a fan of oden or othello or whatever his name was.

josh hartnett was just too cool.

  • oden made this movie the rest was just okay you just hating cause a black guy outshined white actors i'm not rasict but meki killed his role josh was alright

  • it has nothing to do with him being black

its simply because i have read Othello and have never cared for his character.

josh did his role very well, and so did oden's actor.

they both did what they were meant to, just me.

kill me why dont you :|

    :)

  • This movie is really good, but so sad. Josh Harnett's character is a snake!

  • where is this movie????

  • lol i have to watch the other othello movie where its hard to understand >.> but my teacher said we get to watch this version too so im excited :)

  • josh harnett is the perfect badguy

  • I really enjoyed this movie. I have seen it before, however I was looking for the full version of Othello, starring Lawrence Fishburne. Do you happen to know how I can get my hands on that copy?

    Thanks,

    chughes4225

  • Is the movie any good? Wondering if I should spend my time watching it... Let me know please.

  • YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • please post the whole movie!!!!!

  • Can someone PLEASE put this movie up!!

  • Fine. I give up. What's the point in trying to have a serious discussion with someone who's so monolithically transfixed in their own opinion they can't for two seconds consider the value in another's argument? You can refrain from replying to this one. I give up, you've one, this is your page now. My energies can be better spent, I'm sure.

  • i love the end the part where he give that speech saying how he wasnt no drug dealer or gang banger n how he said this white boy fucced up my life that was the best scene in the movie

  • does anybody have ANY idea where i can find this online? i really want to see it

  • I love this movie...late night television=FTW

  • He cryin' over a ho!?

  • Well, you're a brilliant one aren't you. Othello was a Moor, and an General in the Venice army because of his superior military skills. How else can a modern reenactment interpret this? It only makes sense for Othello, or 'O' in this case, to be the star player of his team with the most popular girl in the school. As for the racist comment, have you read Othello? The man was a god to his countrymen and soldiers. The only person who could be considered racist is Iago, because he's jealous of him.

  • Well said

  • I'm studying Shakespeare at MA level and trust: "is Othello a racist play?" is still an open question. I don't think it is, but I think it addresses the issue of racism: Brabantio disowns his daughter because she's married Othello, and the only reason the Venetian magistrates don't intervene is because Othello is useful to them. For the rest, I just don't like stereotypes (Shakespeare's heroes never were), and I think the acting in this is appalling. Now, please can continue voting me down.

  • How is it a stereotype? I see nothing here that could be considered a stereotype. Othello - great warrior. "O" - great athlete, same concept, different times. Desdemona - Adored royal woman, loved by everyone. Desi - Popular Cheerleader, same concept different times. I don't see any stereotypes there, I see a variation of a Shakespearean tale that fits in with our society. For someone going for a masters in Lit, you obviously have some catching up to do.

  • ... I've just had a thought - of a way in which this film could have kept the teenager angst but more closely mirrored the socio-political situation. Jump back a few decades, to a time where mixed-raced schools have only just been opened: people would be in two minds about a black basketball player, because they're but he's the best chance for them to win the game. Just as pretending to tolerate Othello was the best chance for the Venetians to win wars. Give me that, better actors and i'm happy.

  • at 43 seconds in, i had to stop. And I'm not elitist: I've liked Luhrmann's Romeo+Juliet and thought Di Caprio was a pretty accurate Romeo; Ethan Hawkes is mind-blowing as a young, lost, modern Hamlet. But how is this Shakespeare? There's none of the original language, emotion, fire. Julia Stiles is known for murdering every heroine of William she tries to interpret - Desdemona would have never have shouted back at Othello, for one. Do your homework woman. Please give me Maggie Smith any day.

  • has ne one uploaded this film???

  • my foot would be soooo far up his azz he would taste shoe leather for years.

  • If that was my son, I would beat his ass, acting a fool over some damn p**S%! He would get a beatdown. I wouldnt care if he was 18 years old.

  • someone add this this film in youtube, or tell me there i can find this film ?

  • damm i luv that movie. that niggas a beast mayne. lol. youtube need that whole movie :(

  • What makes some people think that Julia Stiles is Shakespearean material? I'm so confused. And hot and bothered. Ugh.

  • just like the book mixed wid sum ball holy shit!!!!

  • holy shit i luv the moment at 3:20

  • "Wheres my scarf??!!"

  • where is the rest of the movie??

  • Interesting ! Good .

  • this movie is awesome, it's so sad and tragic though. julia stiles is perfect for those shakespeare adaptions, amazing and incredibly talented actress!

  • Josh Hartnett was so f...ing evil in this movie....a true Iago, manipulative, envious and downright evil.

  • this movie is on google just search
