In my own theory I was thinking the Masada represented her Father because she felt comfort when she was with him and he would play the piano and she played her little flute. When your sleeping and then the ship starts to crash it means that he couldn't support her anymore at one point and crashed his and her world. She didn't feel human anymore when he let her down reason being why they crashed on Mars. Well thats what I thought but it really up to you people.

@maleduck theorical theorie theorized by fans that seccom masada sensei was her piano teacher and that she was in love with him, oh and that he abused drugs so the space crash means he "crashed" due overdose.
