Christ, wanting Enterprise to go on for a few seasons?
It should have been cancelled after the pilot, the show did far too much damage to Trek's continuity to ever stand as actual Trek. That show isn't a genuine part of the franchise and this new film won't be either.
Rebooting did work for Batman , They just made billion dollars at the box office with The Dark Knight. That's after the bomb called B&R.
Well if they do launch another show, Which I think is all pending on the results of this upcoming movie, Try a hand at writing and propose your own script.
I'm an old Trekkie (yes, '-ie), just bought a couple of good TOS prop replicas from you. Years late, I finally came around to liking some of the later series. But re-do TOS? Re-cast Shatner and Nimoy? ... What are they smoking on the lot. I'm with you, I'm curious, but it sure looks like they're "rebooting" the franchise by "reimagining" it as they did that awful PLANET OF THE APES remake. Blech. XI can have the greatest effects ever, the bestest script, the neatest new ideas, but.... Why?
Write Paramount Pictures and tell them you want Eugene Roddenberry on the new Star Trek or you won't go see it. Eugene Roddenberry knows his fathers vision and the new Star Trek (2008) needs him.

As for Eugene wanting only money, that's bull, Eugene is a creative individual who puts creativity ahead of money. He speaks for me, I'm a SSTF Super Star Trek Fan who worked on SST (Save Star Trek) that brought it back.
Well he's GENE's kid and he's doing what he can to maintain the family business where as YOU arent ANYBODY connected to the franchise. Ive had the pleasure of working with Mr Roddenberry and Eugene and I have spoken over lunch. I work in the industry and was connected with the franchise briefly//so again, I ask you..who are YOU other then an annoying foul mouthed detractor with nothing positive to contribute...oh, yeah...already established that didnt we...u=troll.
Family Business? Fair enough, but this guy is just "milking" it big time. I saw him live in Vegas giving a speech, and by god, he's the most boring kid I ever came across. Talkin rubbish. Everyone is entitled to make a few quid, but I just think he's very false.

I'm not American, I'm Irish and proud of that fact(and living in the Irish republic, which in a LOT of cases that people think has NOTHING to do with UK). You don't think before you comment. Think next time.
I grew up watching the Next Generation and since then I'd always had new Star Trek coming up, all the way to Enterprise. I never wanted to see it stop. I can never get enough Star Trek. The new fan films are excellent and I really hope they do the new movie well and don't make it into a bog standard hollywood travesty.

I liked the POTA remake, They didn't do any worse then some of the lousy sequels POTA had.
